History
Dirty Roads Disc Golf Course is dedicated to my my youngest daughter Avaree Dobberstein who was diagnosed with Battens Disease in 2021.
The course started after a trip to Anchorage Alaska 2017. The first time I learned about disc golf and how it combined my love of nature and hiking together with golf and sport. After returning home I finally knew what I wanted to turn my property into, a course that I could play anytime I wanted right out my back door. I started with with 2 buckets and 2 power line poles to design a criss-cross 8 hole course. Then by the fall of 2018 our local league of weirdos, the Railhead Disc Golf Club, needed a place for our end of the year party. We were looking for something that was private and larger than the smaller 9 hole course we call home. So I got to work making my 8 hole course into a 12 hole course that didn't cross paths multiple times. After that year I spent my time playing and dreaming up new fairways and basket placements to make the course even more fun and official feeling when you play it. Fast forward to 2025 I have completed a complete 18 Disc golf course design with skilled wooded fairways, rolling hills, green house, and open field shots. I hope you enjoy playing the course as much as I enjoyed building it.
