About the course
Der Discgolf Parcours Verlar besteht aus einer 10 Korb Anlage mit 600m Wurflänge. Dieser befindet sich in einer Parkanlage mit Baumlehrpfad, historischem Wasserrad, Wildbienenhotel, Biotop, Streuobstwiese, Auen, Boule-Platz, Beachvolleyballanlage und Vieles mehr. In unmittelbarer Nähe befindet sich eine Sportanlage mit Soccerplatz sowie eine Grundschule mit Spielgeräten.
Der Discgolf Parcours ist in das bestehende Landschaftsbild integriert und jede Bahn als digitaler Lernort für Naturwissen und Heimatgeschichte ausgestaltet. Eine Smart City App unterstützt Besucher dabei die Lernorte zu entdecken und macht Wissen auf interaktive Weise insbesondere für Kinder erlebbar.
Disc Golf Scheiben können kostenlos beim ortsansässigen Unternehmen Möbel MIT zu den Öffnungszeiten ausgeliehen werden.
History
Der Bau eines Disc Golf Parcours war die Idee der Kinder und Jugendlichen in der Gemeinde. Der Sportverein Blau Weiss Verlar 1955 e.V. hat diesen 2026 gebaut. Damit ergänzt der Disc Golf Parcours das kostenlose und öffentlich zugängliche Angebot um Beachvolleyplatz, Boule Platz, Soccerplatz und zwei Rasensportflächen.
