About the course

Open to the public. Free to play. The gate hours may vary. We are shooting for the gate to be open 8:00am to dusk every day. This unique course is built on the old abandoned Hilltop Golf Course and offers terrific views and challenging play at every skill level. With a variety of obstacles, terrain, and elevation changes, this course will be at the top of your most fun courses to play. Come prepared: This course is park-owned, but is maintained strictly by volunteers. This is links-style course. The fairways will be kept fairly short, but not like a manicured golf course. The roughs will be mowed occasionally. It's advisable not to wear open toes shoes and as is in most natural areas, expect to find poison ivy and insects. Restrooms are available down the hill at the park by the playground or campground or there is a porta-john at the start of the course and a composting toilet at hole 12. Just down the hill is an aquatic center, canal boat ride, fishing, and camping or take a short walk to Historic Roscoe Village. Visit https://www.visitcoshocton.com for area attractions and events. Camping is available within walking distance, visit http://www.coshoctonlakepark.com/campground.htm.

Pros: -Quiet, dg only area -warmup nets -broom on all tee pads -several fun downhill shots Cons: -several unsafe tees from parallel fairways -out and back so no stop back at the parking lot -Tees on long holes are far too short -too much variance in par/distance for a "PDGA Blue Layout. Course doesn't know if it wants to be a gold or white level layout Overall fun, challenging at times, and a good hike. But suffers from dangerous parallel fairways and several holes where it felt like it something more interesting could have been done, but just picked a decent pin position and didn't do much beyond that.

Lots of fun. Played the long tees. They feel like blue-level 950 rated tees. Course has lots of fun shots. Not overly hard or super long. Great course for all skill levels. Not “championship” level as described but a very fun course for all skill levels on a beautiful property. Hope they are able to maintain the grass cutting over time. Not much rough to deal with either.
