Baskets #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 16, 17, 18 get removed for winter and a 9 hole safari layout is available for play
Good conditions
Ellison is the most popular/crowded course in Rochester because of it's mix of elevation change, beginner friendliness, and deep history. Ellison Park has been played during everything from local fundraisers to World Championships (1984). Almost every hole is reachable without professional caliber distance and the course is usually very well maintained. There are no water hazards so it’s relatively rare to lose a disc on this course. The signature hole 12 is 525ft downhill and wide open.
The 18 hole course is typically available for play from mid April till early October. Many of the baskets are removed during the winter to allow space for the sledding hill.

For the most popular course in the area it left a LOT to be desired. Good use of elevation and the trees available but no benches at tee pads with huge elevation gains was harsh (shout the Simian bag). Short tee pads and very dated baskets.

Love the variety of up and down hill. Wish they would repair some of the tee pads. The grass has always been well mowed when I’ve been there.

Beautiful course, lightning baskets, very fun but could use updated tee pads

Great course. Lots of long open shots that are fun to shape mixed with a few technical ones.
