About the course

Welcome to Freedom Park; this park is along the Boise River in Star, ID, this is a challenging course that is still family friendly. There are several holes that if your disc goes in the water, it is gone forever, but the park is beautiful and has brought nothing but new life into an area that was just once a flood plain.

Lots of hype around this new course in the Treasure Valley and I was excited to play it, and left underwhelmed. Holes 1-4 are all RHFH and pretty much the same shot (hole 4 throws around a corner at a blind walking path - Dangerous). Then 5-12 are all RHBH hyzers with various distances. Hole 12’s tee pad should have been moved 15’ right to make a straight tunnel shot (especially once the tree grow), instead it’s to the left and I can throw a soft hyzer. Hole 13 is awesome. Hole 14 is a joke at 198’ and no viable option except spray and pray. Hole 16 has a great tee box shot but then boing - make it through the gap 15’ in front of you and it is a hyzer. Don’t think I’ll be back with Eagle Island and Ann Morrison close by. Oh, and lots of the course were super soggy and had standing water. And it hasn’t rained in MONTHS. Not sure who is watering the grass, but they have it all wrong.

Bridge is open! Yay! Excellent test of accuracy and distance. Wind can make it more difficult. Play earlier in the day to avoid crowds and wind. Still watering too much.
