@andrewingram
This was my 2nd round at this course today (after already playing a 9 hole pitch and putt course this morning). This course can be as hard or easy as you make it. The first round I played with no OB and shot a -9 in a light rain. However the second round I decided to make all sports fields’ lines/fences, ditches, roads, parking lots, and wood lines OB which made the course pretty challenging. Even on the holes where the basket was right up on a woods line I would keep the rule. It made me think about what kind of shot I wanted to throw and if I wanted to lay up or not. I also played 17 as an Island where I could risk going for it or lay up short. The toughest were the baskets on the opposite side of the roads/parking lots where it was pinched between the woods and roads. This would be a challenging course to play if the sports fields were busy. Also the tee signs are nice but there are no tee pads so you have to pick and choose where you want to tee off from. Some holes would change shape depending on if you wanted to throw to the right or the left of the tee marker.
@rastnav
It is, as others have said, mostly baskets in a field. But it is maintained well enough (at least in the summer months). Could get really sloppy as the tees are grass/dirt. Good to rip discs on - what disc you rip will depend on your distance. Lots of shots between 270 and 320. It is at a multi-use facility (baseball/soccer fields) and it is not separated from the other uses. You would not want to play here if anything else was going on.
@deltagphys
It's nice for the beginner to work on longer drives with little danger or for the intermediate player to get some repetitive practice. Don't try during any time when athletic fields might be used. Difficult to tell which basket is the target at time and it's weird that the tees are right on top of the previous baskets. Makes them easy to find but would be a pain with multiple groups on the course.
@zaylivers
Not a good course not fun
@gdespres2002
Open and a little boring, but otherwise a solid course. Probably unplayable when people are around
@dpittman
Course is very confusing. Holes and tee areas are right on top of each other, there are also some baskets that are right on top of each other and 9 & 18 share a basket. Generic, straight shots on most holes. Checked distances with a rangefinder and the tee pad signs, UDisc, and the rangefinder all 3 had different distances. It’s good for beginners and vacationers who want to get a round in.
@bambi1721
Just an open (windy most days) field. Very boring and confusing at points. Good for practicing drives though. Expect to skip holes if you’re there at a busy time, course goes over parking areas and playground.
@jehlman
Like the course designer dropped the baskets out of an airplane.
@ekalbemerson
Good to have a course on the coast, good for what it is. Recommend using UDisc because of possible tee and basket confusion. Overall a fun play for vacation or tourists, glad to have a full 18 here in Beaufort.
@sheabuttah
Glad to have a course to throw on. T signs and baskets are too close to each other. This is a hazard when multiple groups are on the course. Hard to comprehend tea signs at first. Good to have the UDisc app. Baskets are too tight to the woods in some places. Would be great to have a seasoned disc golfer. Help settle the course into the facility a little better. Spread out the basket team tea signs a bit more pull some of the baskets away from the woods. Pretty tricky though with needing to have space for other activities. So glad this course is here. Good place to practice and play.
@virtualpbandj
Which basket to play is confusing on a few holes. Tee pads are on the previous holes green for most holes. There are no improved tee pads. Many baskets are way to close to ditches or thick rough.
@treymcomber
This course was very confusing at some parts and most of the shots besides holes 17, 15, and I think 12 or 13 were very generic and boring. I personally wouldn’t play this course again
@gabecox64
Get ready to throw hard and throw straight on most holes and be careful not to lose one in the woods
@danoeltico
Like has already been said, terrible design, but nice to have something to play down here. Udisc helps with knowing tees but baskets on 1 are easily confused with 8… baskets are too close to edge of trees. It any sports are being played the course is unplayable. Would make for great Safari golf though!
@ad1562
Lots of water/drainage, difficult to navigate without the app, holes overlap, couldn’t find basket 18 Still fun as there’s limited options in the area
@rectoriches
The Course is a fun 18. If you utilize the OB off the signs (The Dark Green areas signifying the different sports fields) it makes the course more enjoyable. I will say definitely needs some sort of permanent Teeing Areas, whether turf or concrete. As for the thick brush don’t over shoot your shot, or in other words distance control. Tee signs next to the previous holes basket is a small issue, but be courteous to the card by the sign.
@krushingchains
For being the only disc golf course in the near vicinity, I think it is an absolute blessing! Shots kind of cross over each other, and there are no tee pads. But very friendly locals and a wonderful place to throw a frisbee.
@akillackey
I want to like this course and it’s close to being good for what it is. Tee signs are lacking accurate information, 25% of the distances are off by more than 10 feet. Tee signs are dangerously close to baskets of previous holes. A few baskets are against the tree line, better land short or face the thorns. Good for learning how to play, just make sure you come during the week when no one else is using the park to avoid issues.
@swaimz
I hate to give a bad rating to a course in an area that is lacking in courses in general. But this course was not designed by anyone who has ever played disc golf. Teepads right next to baskets, overlapping holes, multiple baskets right up to the shrub/tree line. I hope they reassess as it could be improved but unlikely to ever be more than a 3 star. Sorry, I'm glad there is a course in beaufort though.
