As a Furman alumni and being one to help create the course, this is a 5/5 course. Honestly, I would say 4/5. I miss the old 1 and 2 big tee shots, but given the space I understand why we had to get rid of them. I think this course is a fantastic course for beginners with a few wide open shots and a few short technical shots that will test your accuracy/skill. The team did extremely well for the space they had and all the restrictions/rules they had to abide by. AJ and the team did a fantastic job with what they were dealing with. The 18 hole layout is significantly better than the old 9 hole layout. Also, the baskets are super nice now. Shout out AJ and everyone else involved in making this happen!

WOW, Finally a Park Style Course in our area, this is Definitely what the Upstate needed, its still a work in progress though, needs cement or astro turf teepads & some teepads need moved or baskets need moved for safety (just to close together) and needs signs badly but otherwise this is the ONLY course in this area that has this kind of smooth layout for a growing DG Community as this area has. THANK YOU for everyone who put this together & keep it growing :)
@perry617
Tough to beat the scenery around the lake. The course itself is fun especially considering the limitations of space. Needs some signage but otherwise a fun little putter course.
@brystall
Needs a redesign and some signage and way-finding. Fun course has some really good potential to be great.

After reading the reviews, I was expecting much worse. It’s a fun little track as long as you play when schools not in session. I spend a lot of time at Furman, and the back 4 holes aren’t really playable during the school year. Theres a lot of bad mixed use areas - a golf course, the swamp rabbit trail, and the university campus. There’s no teepads, barely any tee signs, and the baskets are single chain and old. But it’s a fine 9 hole course given all those issues.
@bushwkr
Boring. Better off doing field work. The majority of the holes are unobstructed straight shots. Also got attacked by wasps. IMO they ruined a decent 9 hole to make way for a trash 18
@nolanduffey
Pars are off on 4-5 holes.
@br1zzy
As a Furman student I have to give it a 5/5. Objectively this is a 4/5. Beginner-friendly course that is not as easy as it looks. Requires a few different shot shapes with some genuinely difficult holes (I’m looking at you 6). Surprisingly scenic course, especially along the back 9. Hole 14 is one of my new favorite holes in the upstate.
@jmonti14
Great work from my dogs at FUDG, they’ve done an impressive job given the space to work with
@discfinder
Unused it seems. Great for the students. Signage and tee pads could use TLC and upgrades.
@hopsedge
Don’t bother. Unless you can walk here from where you live, this is simply not worth the time. Go to any of the other nearby courses in Greenville/Spartanburg instead.
@dohnjoyle
Tee pads would be nice, but overall nice 9 hole
@ncmack111
It's a nine hole course to play. Not much else to say. Use the udisc map
@durant
I had fun
@jeckyll
Fun Pitch and Putt course! Pretty open and standard shot shapes. Well maintained with a nice loop layout. I have fun playing this course.
@bcox7x77
Much improved overall. Needs trimming on a lot of holes to be better. Hopefully the University decides to put tee boxes in. Shot variety is a little dry.
@blackclouds
Tees are not easy to locate
