About the course

John Houck Design. Super fun, well maintained course with a "links style" front 9 and "park style" back 9. Course borders the San Antonio River. Short / Long tees, trash cans, & benches on every hole. Course is always perfectly maintained. One of the most fun courses in the San Antonio area. *****April 2025******* 🚧 Heads Up, Graytown Park Visitors! 🚜🔨 Exciting improvements are on the way! Parking lot construction at Graytown Park begins this week and is expected to last until the Fall. ⛔ Closures & Impact: 🔹 Pavilion & restrooms CLOSED during construction. > ***Portable Restrooms will be onsite throughout the duration of construction***< 🔹 Upper parking area CLOSED Monday–Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM (no access during these hours). There is parking in other areas of the park down by the back 9. 💚 We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance the park for all visitors! The front 9 is open link style. Narrow fairways with tall grass rough through out most of the year. The back 9 has lots of terrain and narrow tree gap shots. Very steep in some holes. It's more of a technical lay out along the San Antonio River.

It’s a nice course sort of in the middle of nowhere. The upkeep could be a little better. One hole on the back nine even had a large weed that had grown up through the bottom of the net and through the chains. There are plenty of thorns, stickers, fire ants, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see a snake on certain holes. That being said, I play this course regularly as I find it to be really fun and diverse. Nice variety of shots and views so definitely worth playing. It’s also nice that you can expect to only share the course with one or two other people in my experience.

I think this course is gorgeous especially the back 9. Everything was taken care of and the signage is clear. The red pads were pretty easy but still fun.
