@nicksoko
Pretty normal wooded course, others have said it’s technical, but a lot of holes can be reached without having a 300ft+ drive. Feel like it’s more about shot shaping then distance and although fairways can be tight in places, a decent drive even if not perfect will still end up in c2/c1. Very fun to play Signage could definitely use some improvement, arrows are very small and sometimes hard to see. If you’re using UDisc you should be fine finding your way around.
@smoney
Definitely need to hit your landing spots and keep it in the fairway. Some really fun challenging shot shapes. Great tees and signage
@rickyelmer247
arrows on baskets is great, very tough course, definitely need to play smart and lay up for the second shot
@drumbum92
The roughs are ROUGHH. love the shot variety. there is an obvious line on most holes
@timchagnon
One thing you don’t think of that is awesome here. Bat houses. The mosquitoes were not too bad on a 90 degree day in July.
@dlavs19
Great course with lots of angle changes and turns but little elevation change. Fairways are narrow but lines are very clear with thick rough of pine trees and thorns on either side (continually being trimmed). John and the volunteers/community are constantly putting work in and this course is getting better every year! Brick tees in process of being installed… UPDATE: All 18 brick tee pads done as of 2024!
@mistahjeff
Great design and way finding
@branthoffman
Varied shots. Long, tough course. Decent upkeep of fairways- lost one disc on thick rough.
@cntbg23
Suuuper tough wooded course. A lot of long straight throws. Definitely need an arm.
@maddyv
Don’t put tee pads on rocks and roots and weed whack. Thats a good place to start.
@gonzo3
Very nice course. Visited by a Hawk and an owl during play. Will come here again
@dkershaw87
Hawkins is a mixed bag. It has come a long way. The fairways are nicely trampled down though summer rough is still quite dense. I don't play here in the summer months because of how thick the rough gets. The teepads are a mix of nice pavers and very rough pads. The fairways are narrow and several holes don't feel particularly fair with the amount of trees, stumps, etc. that can turn a decent shot into a scramble with a bad fairway kick or odd landing. The course values precision over power, so discing down is a good idea. There are some places to stretch out the arm though if you have the power. Signage is good and the course is easy to navigate.
@smithjoshua
Excellent design, very well cleared, but technical fairways. Great course for throwing your whole bag
