Hellyer Park

Solid track with some good variety.

It's a course, it has some nice elevation changes, two teepads per hole are nice. Not very pretty but there are some very high level shots required.

First time here. Played 9 from the shorts. Fun course.

I wouldn’t travel far to play here. A bit of a hike and not much shade so bring some fluids. Overgrown areas w/ poison oak can make finding discs challenging ( I lost one and found two others). One basket had a tree branch draped over part of it and other baskets were hard to find from the tee for a first timer. Poor signage made getting around a little challenging.

Hilly gets dark quick at dusk

This has a great 9-hole layout. I like the short and long option for each basket, too.

Start on #8 to save yourself an extra hike up the hill. It was recently mowed. Watch out for poison oak and squirrel holes.

Overgrown. Tough to find discs with all the real dry grass. Also tough to find the tee locations without udisc.

In good condition as of 6.25.23. Brush looks maintained very recently.

Lots of blind shots and limited unique lines on many holes. Lots of meh holes. Short pads can make for an alright beginner course for the area. La Raza, Kelley and Villa Maria are all better courses.

Update 1-3-23 Make sure to Lock and secure your vehicles. Cars are being broken into and stolen here off hellyer by hole 5.

Off the freeway but good variety and ele change

Great course - the front tees are great for shorter game, with longer tees for distance. The elevation makes interesting play, and a few holes call for shaping your throws. Wind is low due to profile

“Park n Play” (Alternating 18) layout is mapped to the ‘C’ pin locations. Basket locations change regularly. Check to validate position of each hole. This layout provides a great mix of long and short holes throughout the 18-hole round. Very fun course layout. Easily park your vehicle, and immediately start playing your round. No need to walk across the entire course just to reach hole 1. End on hole 7 and you’re right back by your vehicle.

Crew is working hard to get the weeds cut and course looking good. Course plays well currently.
