Incredible course, beautiful conditions! Challenging wind, fair but challenging ob+hazard lines. Superb upkeep, Cadillac tee areas, short and long pins and pads--where multiple combinations would make second or even third rounds gratifying for median-and-above skill level players. A little wet nearest the creek, but it was never a problem worse than a soggy toe. The layout of the property is an efficient but exciting excursion over some rolling hills, across, along, and between two creeks, and up, over, and around some haunting, imposing, lazy, pale sycamore bows. Signage is well-placed, accurate, and clear; I had 6500 steps, short-to-short tees. The intra-hole design is even more impressive! Most open holes prefer a certain shape, but few forbid one-hand-dominant players from sneaking down a more difficult, alternate line. Modern, fair baskets, in pin placements that punish prophylactic plays with putts that bring ob into play. Wide use of hazard stakes kept the mower away from skinny chutes that seperate lawn-like fairways and a fair but challenging second cut--wide, ankle-heigh grass that was easy to find a disc in, but eliminated skips. Twice I missed the short grass by a foot, but still felt pumped by a circle's-edge-, par-saving-putt. Bravo and thank you, course owners and keepers!
