@renotahoedg
This used to be an epic 18 hole course with lots of elevation change when it wound through Shirley Canyon. Now it’s simply disappointing. And the map on UDisc has not been updated. It still shows the original 18 hole layout. Don’t bother, especially considering the price to get up there. Hit up Donner Ski Ranch, Kingvale, Sierra College, Stampede or Tahoe Vista instead.
@tahoeturtle
This course used to be something amazing but not anymore. You have to pay over $40 a person to ride the tram and the course is incomplete. I definitely DO NOT recommend this course when there are so many good ones in the area. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
@skunks
Some baskets have broken welds, the chains aren't level with baskets leaning downhill, flypads are placed directly over rocky ground and not flat, but beautiful area and great up and down hole layout.
@jwars20
It isn't easy to track from hole to hole. Watch out for a black tee pad within 30-50 feet from the previous basket. Everything you see on the disc (except the first hole) is wrong. Nothing is accurate. The view is splendid, though.
@partick
Ok —this isn’t a five star course — wayfinding is fine with UDisc but no signage otherwise; tee pad are mats on top of lumpy rocks — but the setting is spectacular! The 2.4 mean rating does the course a huge disservice as it was for sure an enjoyable round. 9 hole classic layout on USisc is decently accurate.
@peirvine
No signs or tee pads really. It’s very pretty but the course is definitely an afterthought
@hammerheadshark
Great views, bad tee pads and directions. Great views though. Did I mention the views
@swimmons2
Need another 9
@mrcoachdad
First Hole is just past the playground, poorly marked holes, no true tee boxes with a lot of rubble (make sure youve got good shoes otherwise slippery). Whole 6 has no Tee box and Chains are currently in a construction zone. Only 9 holes available. You also have to walk through brush to get from hole to hole. Great spot just needs a lot of upkeep and maintenance.
@valdezer
Beat up and in need of some love. Otherwise a nice course with amazing views and quite the hike. Gotta pay to get up the tram though.
@chrisshaw1
You have to take the gangola to get to the course. Hole 3 you throw down in elevation hundreds of feet. Incredible! Lost a disc though. View are stunning. Hard to follow though. We threw all the holes we could and then walked the 2 miles down past Shirley Lake back to the valley. Played maybe 3 years ago.
