About the Course

Welcome to the new Jacket Woods Disc Golf Course at Defiance College! Jacket Woods provides a new kind of challenge for disc golfers in Northwest Ohio. The front nine has open bomber holes, while the back nine sports tight wooded fairways. Watch out for water and elevation changes too! Please understand that this is a new course and there is still work being done. The staff at DC as well as over 30 volunteers have put in a lot of time and effort into making this course special. Special thanks to the 28 private donors that funded 100% of the course’s construction. It is open and free to the public, so enjoy the course and GO JACKETS!

"Great course with many different shots and challenges. Lots of signs that make it easy to navigate. The only concern is we did find a couple ticks throughout the round, make sure to bring some spray. "

"The front 9 is great. Fun shots. Love the 2 pads with 2 baskets allowing you to essentially play the hole somewhat differently. There is some trekking between holes but it is worth it since the holes are so good. Then you get to hole 13 and the wheels fall off and disappointment sets in. Granted they tried to work with the area they had but there’s a couple hole in the back that make no “disc golf sense” with no true shot off the tee. Most of the back is ok but not great."

"Love the course 2 pads and 2 baskets, hole 13 needs some work though. Hole 15 needs work too long is horrible short is low ceiling almost need a spotter and hole 16. Also after hole 9 you have to Crouse hole 2s fairway.. that's a no no move watch out"
