4.5 stars for being the only 18 inside of Chicago and making the most of it. This is not a 4.5 star course in the suburbs but is absolutely phenomenal for being in Chicago. The recent redesign and installation of 9 permanent baskets is amazing. Uses the trees phenomenally and is highly technical for how relatively short of a course it is. Hole 5 is one of the best par 3s I’ve played hands down Tee pads are supposed to be coming soon which will make this a 5 star course in my opinion

Pleasantly surprised with this Chicago proper course. It has potential.

It’s great Chicago proper has an 18 hole course. I took the 6 bus down and started on 5. There were some enjoyable lines, but without teepads it was muddy and slippery. The baskets are also mismatched and are mostly temporary practice style baskets. Two were on their side and had to be stood up. The layout is a little odd in a few places, make sure to use UDisc. With some cleaning up of fairways, teepads, and consistent permanent baskets, this would be a fun course.

Avoid unless this is your only option. Not worth the time.

Hole 18 should be a par 4. Trees need cleaned up from past storm damage.

Great course. Just needs some tlc. I think the layout is goofy af but I guess for a temp course people live with it.

Demonstrates the contempt that the city holds for any residents that don't have a country club membership somewhere. The parks are trashy and little thought is given to activities which otherwise would have great utilization (e.g., disc golf) C'mon Chicago, we can be better!!

A course is better then no course- keep it up local club- The layout is a bit wonky- Hope you continue to make this a permanent course. Could be great

Jackson Park seems to have everything else, why not a disc golf course? It ain't great. Most pads are dirt save a few where you throw off a walking path. Most tees have paper signage save a few where it's gone. Unplayable without UDisc or the layout on hand. A good use of the space available. I'd play it regularly if it was my local course. Gotta pay for parking if you drive (park access, not course access) which lessens the attraction for out-of-towners.

All holes are playable, but some baskets had blown over. Several tee signs were missing, so the app is definitely needed to navigate.

To my knowledge, I believe they are trying to put in a permanent course and not the temporary one I played today. The course I played had a good variety of holes and all are short. Some parts of the park look well taken care of, the other part especially in the wooded section near the main strip had lots of trash laying around.

Should be rated higher. Nice park with good shots, short walks between holes and easy to navigate with the app. Easier course with open shots early into some shorter woods stuff then ending with a wide open long one

Underrated course. Some fun shots in a sweet area.

This will get a fifth star once tee pads are installed.

Much better now with the new layout but currently no baskets for the front 9 holes so really it’s just playing the back 9 until they get 18 baskets permanently places

Honestly a bit disappointed by the newest layout (as of March 2025). I feel like this utilizes the key wooded space at the south of the property far worse than all previous designs. The current holes lack variety and previous layouts had far better holes in several areas. I hope these aren't planned for the permanent layout.

Mostly technical. There’s a lot of potential here. Watch out for 6-8 inch chopped tree roots, they are everywhere. Lots of trash. You need your UDisc for most holes. Pretty frustrating that the layout seems to be different every time I’m here. Impossible to find tees.

This is a great little gem in Chicago that has a lot of potential. Once the permanent baskets and pads are in, it'll be a perfect course for anyone in Chicago whose sick of driving 45 mins to play
