Updated review of the current iteration after playing a few more laps. Convenient blue difficulty course within the city, with a substantial bias for right handed forehands. The property has all the features: golf greens, mature trees, slopes, streams etc. Course does seem to be slowly evolving every couple of months. As it'll be mostly open during winter months, you can expect to deal with a bit of moisture and mud. Course design does have a lot of 'chippy' shots where your result can feel lucky. Many greens are guarded and you sometimes will find yourself with no access to putt even within 12 feet. Some safety issues still exist with the area off the golf course, as nearby residents still walk through the area off the paths and aren't aware. A homeless man also came and picked up my card's disc the other day. Some blind shots/approaches exist, which give you the chance to throw in on groups. For me. it feels like you throw the same 2 distances the whole round. either 230-260 chip shot, or a 330-375 straight/slight turn. A couple of the holes can be broken with a lazy forehand roller, which is a personal criterium of a subpar hole. Holes 11 & 15 are my favorite on the course and hope to see future updates with more in that vein. Hole 9 would also be a favorite if the teepad wasn't short and slightly sloped.

Great course with some variety and challenge. Hope to see this course continue to evolve - it's already very good (best course without taking a bridge) and has the potential to be great. A little over-indexed on counter clockwise spin and a couple short holes that are repetitive. Mud exists as others have stated but that is a product of the time of year the course is open - I doubt this will be an issue for 3 seasons.

This property has so much potential and a couple great holes, like 11 and 15. But the experience is ruined by repetitive dinky shots into blind and muddy greens like hole 8 and hole 10 that dominate the course. Some holes almost feel like the basket was deliberately put in a spot that gets no sun or drainage. Quite a few of the gold tee placements feel like an afterthought especially on holes like 9. Many of the “ideal” landing zones on longer holes like 1 and 18 are borderline lakes of mud. It’s awesome to see a new course in the area but I’d hope to see some major adjustments made to the course. Entering the property it feels like it’s going to be a 5 star experience but leaves you feeling like the course could be a lot more than it currently is. I don’t think I’ll be back until some pretty large changes happen, especially considering the course is not free to play.

@shaunamarie
Not a bad start to a new course. Some holes need tweaking and better signage is desperately needed, card behind us was just as confused as us on certain holes. Overall nice course with lots of potential.

@bshott
Shockingly well designed course for how new it is. Little more polish and it will be competing with Raptors. Incredible property and really fair and challenging holes. Only critique is the counterclockwise flow feels like the whole course is playing left to right, with the exception of some smaller transition holes.

@shandler
Keep up the amazing disc golf course, Burnaby! You are putting Vancouver to shame!!! Nice one 👍

@vagabalding
Great paid course over the pitch and putt course. 3 different tees, however, many of the reds were just dirt. Areas definitely got pretty muddy. Nice baskets. Good variety of shots. Really enjoyed the round and pretty cheap to play too.

@coasterjuicy
Really nice
@lolafolana
Muddy in some spots. Ted pads need signage at least for home number

@deebscycles
A couple of soft & muddy teepads but overall, a great layout, really interesting challenges. Well done and thank you! Best course around, for shot variety!

@hastalasiracha
Fun course with a lot of different shots. Enough challenge. One down side is some of the tee off areas- there is a gold, blue and red lay out, and it's clear that the tees further away from the basket would often have a tee off matt, whereas the red lay-put wouldn't. This made most tees for us muddy and slippery. Make sure to stand in the least muddy spots for grip. Another one is signage, could perhaps use a little more, but we made it work. I did enjoy that I was able to play with people from different abilities using different tee pads without it becoming annoying, as they all would be in line of each other, giving it a natural flow.

@braedendg
Hole 7 and 12 should be par 4 for the red layout. Hole 6 was a bit confusing on udisc and hole 15 shows the old pin location which confused us. Overall a fun course just needs some tweaks

@threadthanaddle
Another great course in Burnaby, well done to everyone involved! Good variety with elevation changes, and some nasty rough. Clean fairway shots are rewarded. A bit of maintenance/signage could bump it to 4.5.

@qballer
Holes 1-14 were great fun! More signage needed on holes 15-18, heavy foot traffic that had no clue there was a disc course in the park. Got purposely blocked by a particularly rude man who took issue with the course being in existence.

@aaronelsser
Fantastic property with lots of potential. The new baskets are great. I assume proper teepads and signage are coming in the near future. My main critique of the course is that the current layout has a lot of short par 3’s where the basket is not visible from the teepad. For the gold layout, players who can throw far (accurately) will not be separated from a player who has an accurate amateur level arm speed on many holes and therefore it isn’t very suitable for pro tournament play yet.

@brettwells
Awesome new course! Thanks for all the hard work to clear brambles and make some very fun holes!

@dhuttunen
Well designed course that makes great use of the property and elevation!

@sarahtheginger
For the first time playing here it was enjoyable! Course will change a lot in terms of signage and teepads but good work so far.

@wh1skeyjack
Lots of potential!!
