About the course
Der Kurs befindet sich auf dem Berg Kräher Höhe und wurde durch die BAWN Nienburg errichtet. Zum Beginn des Kurses ist es möglich, kostenlos Discs auszuleihen. Die vorgegebenen Bahnen sind recht kurz und es fehlen Teepads sowie Schilder für die einzelnen Bahnen. Dafür sind die Körbe hochwertig und das umliegende Waldgebiet "Krähe" sowie der Ausblick positiv hervorzuheben.
Sucht man nach einer größeren Challenge kann man die Kurse in anderer als der vorgegebenen Reihenfolge bespielen und sich selbst die Bahnen festlegen (z.B. Korb 3 auf 5, Korb 4 auf 8 etc.).
History
Die Kräher Höhe — ein nach Rekultivierung entstandenes Erholungsgebiet auf der ehemaligen Zentraldeponie — erhielt 2020 einen Discgolf/Frisbee-Golf-Kurs, den der Betrieb Abfallwirtschaft Nienburg/Weser (BAWN) initiiert und aufgebaut hat. Der ursprünglich mit vier Bahnen gestartete Parcours sollte Besucherinnen und Besuchern Bewegung im Freien bieten und wird vom BAWN mit Ausleih-Discs, verbesserter Beschilderung und einer späteren Erweiterung auf neun Bahnen weiter gepflegt. Damit verbindet die Anlage Naturerlebnis, Umweltbildung und Sport an Nienburgs höchstem Punkt.
