Last week they cleaned up the overgrowth and trimmed the trees. The course experience is greatly improved as a result. Hole 5 is still a traffic cone, removed due to neighbors complaining about discs hitting their houses. Latest word is the course designer was consulted on a new pin location, and it will hopefully be installed some time this week. As my home course, this one is still fantastic for providing plenty of challenge. Feels like the end of an era for hole 5 to be removed. It was amongst the iconic holes of the course.

Incredibly hilly and overgrown. Miss a shot on the front 9 and you’re down the mountain. Throw in tall vegetation and you’re searching for 10 minutes. But hole nine and more than half of the back 9 have such epic and beautiful approach shots that you can ace a 300 foot hole downhill if you nail it right. The course is worth it just for those shots. Bring water because the elevation and sun is pretty bad. Also shoes with spikes to grip the earth so you don’t slip.
