About the course
Nestled in the upper section of Lake Claiborne State Park in northern Louisiana is the Dogwood disc golf course. This challenging course, designed by Mike Brown, offers a unique and exciting experience for players of all skill levels. With a Par 58, the Dogwood course is shorter than its sister course, Whitetail, but offers tighter fairways and steeper elevation changes. Each hole is carefully designed to test players' accuracy and control, with strategically placed obstacles and trees throughout the course. The Dogwood course is ideal for players who enjoy a more technical round of disc golf. The shorter length allows for a quicker game, while the challenging layout ensures that players must make precise shots in order to score well. One of the unique features of the Dogwood course is its multiple tee boxes. The course features blue tees for more experienced players and red tees for beginners, making it accessible to players of all skill levels. The blue tees offer a more challenging experience, with longer distances and more obstacles. The red tees, on the other hand, provide a more forgiving layout, allowing beginners to work on their technique and build their confidence. In addition to disc golf, Lake Claiborne State Park offers a variety of other activities for visitors to enjoy, such as fishing, hiking, and camping. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, a visit to the Dogwood course at Lake Claiborne State Park is a must-see for any disc golf enthusiast. Designed by Mike Brown and installed in 2014

Beautiful, technical, and a great complementary course to whitetail. But that’s like comparing super cars. Both courses are top notch.

Mostly clear but narrow fairways, but on most holes if you go past the tree lines left or right there may be no good out.

The course was well laid out and well groomed. All tee boxes and signage are updated and in good shape. I wouldn’t suggest this course for beginners as it has a lot of elevation and tight lanes but a lot of fun and great for average players and up.
