Awesome course with great views, I've thrown quite a few top five in the states across the nation and how this isn't in the top 100 is beyond me... could use a couple extra tees for some of the shorter pins but 60 plus percent of the shots are near the water, the pines are also a awesome feature to this park.

Reminds me of Paradise Point, MO and, Bloomington, KS

Nice course- need lots of shot variety. Tough to navigate without UDisc. Need arrows to next tee. I know some people love water hazards - but Too much for me. Like my discs- don't want to worry about losing on half the holes. Still very nice course and would play again- without my favorites

Brilliant course. Beautiful wooded holes through the pines, fun water-carry holes and holes along the lake. Technical short holes and scoreable par 4s mixed throughout. Great mix of everything, really. One of my favorites I’ve played in West Illinois.

Lake users blocking course usage. Park right in front of a tee pad then walk 200 yards and fish but could park right next to where they are fishing. Nice course with high likelihood of losing a disc. Felt unwelcome by the locals after driving 3 hours to play.
@chainsofcommand
Loved everything about this course besides one of the water holes has a net in front of that really mess with you if you land by it for the basket beyond it.

White tees: These are great fun, but not championship level, and that's ok. But as these tees currently appear to be the main attraction, the water risk at baskets so close to and sloped toward water is a bit much for an average player. I personally enjoy risk/reward on ace-runs (hole 8) or long approaches to a basket (hole 9), but even a short approach shot can get punished (hole 10) on a few holes with the basket on a slope next to the water. Blue Tees: Skipped them due to being unable to locate them at first, but then also because the fairways for a few were not maintained or non-existent. Overall: I loved the course, as it is often very technical and requires thoughtful play. I felt frequently rewarded for placement shots over distance shots. Those of us who max out at 350 but have a solid short game really appreciate an opportunity to level the playing field alongside the bombers. However, there was A LOT of poison ivy sourrounding many of the baskets. I expect to see plenty of it in the rough (still sucks), but I shouldn't be penalized with a potntially nasty rash for parking my disc at a basket. Still, I'd play here often if I could. It's beautiful and well designed. I'm just not sure how often lower level players will come here knowing there are so many opportunities to lose a disc. But I do lopk forward to coming back--especially if/when the blue tees are given more attention.

Great looking course. Tight lines on many of the holes. Nice challenge.
@konnerdudley
It’s a beautiful course with a good mix of wooded technical holes and open air bombers. It’s rare to find a course this well designed in central IL. Truly an outdoorsy experience. Bring some throw away discs… there are several holes with water hazards.
@jbus1978
Beautiful course and very well maintained. There were plenty of challenging holes but birdie ops as well.
@tpat12
Fun and challenging course forcing you to hit your lines and know your distances. Very scenic located on lake Pittsfield offering great views during the round. Definitely worth the trip!
@willgilmore
What an awesome course with the best scenery and layout!!!! This place keeps getting better!!
@jamesreichert
A demanding course that requires you to hit your lines. The course is tough but very fair. A good mix of different styles of golf. There are a couple very challenging par 4’s. The long basket positions will make this course into a true beast. Turf teepads may look somewhat unappealing but are wonderful to play on. To find a course better in the area you’d have to travel to St. Louis.
