Overall nice park style lake course. I wish they would have used the tall pine trees more for some wooded holes due to them being right there. Very peaceful setting. Grass can be long but the day I went it was not too bad. Lake was also high but didn’t affect shots unless you throw a shank. There are a few long par 3 but the course makes up for it with short par 4s. Look out for ghost squirrel on near hole 18.

Like most state parks with disc golf courses, your money doesn’t go towards the disc golf course or it’s upkeep as much as it does the rest of the park. Mostly Heiser shots and I recommend asking them at the gate before you come in if it had been mowed recently because 3 to 4 foot tall grass fairways make it tough to find your disc even with a good shot.
@coolbeast12
Would absolutely give it five stars but due to the lake being five feet high one of the tee pads was under water
@calebchesh
Needs mowed badly. Otherwise great!
@chainseekr73
Nice relatively flat course
@mackmack
Definitely a challenge for all .
@bsnider
Course is in great condition. Tee pads are the best on any course I’ve played. Hole signs where great. 1st time we’ve played there well worth the hour drive from Shreveport. Stopped at Riverboat Bar & Grill in Jefferson for lunch great place with a ton of history. Can’t wait to go back.
@bsmeltz
needs mowing. knee high weeds. other then that is a fun course
@mikeyork
Beautiful park, decent course. Nice signage. Some medium-long par 3s and short par 4s. Not many inspiring tee shots, but good throwing practice.
@matchuman
Course was in pristine condition for the Bill West Memorial tournament!
@jtrent
Beautiful course! A lot of very specific tee shots and landing zones. Long holes to make it challenging. Great addition to East Texas area.
@drocks
Those tall brown things that have the hole info on them in writing at the front of the tees pad need to be taken down...I hit my hand on several last weekend...very bad for us lefties.. hole 3 is still an issue with the picnic tables in the fairway..we showed up early enough to not have a problem...when we were on 16 ..there was a family there..
@pizzagod
Decent course if you are the only one in the park
@jc1224
This is a beautiful course winding along the banks of Lake O’ Pines. There is a lot of shot variety including multiple dog legs, narrow fairways, and tight approaches. The new tee pads and tee signs look amazing. This course is a lot of fun, and is a great addition to east Texas.
@masondeal1
Good course with a lot of potential. The transition from hole 1 to hole 2 is a major issue. Otherwise, this is a scenic and hard scoring course.
@waynegaddis
Good looking course, but the lake is currently up too high to play most of the holes. Can't wait to come back after is drops a couple more feet.
@nacgolfer
Awesome new course. Would’ve given 4.5 stars if a couple holes were changed or added to play in the woods. Plenty of distance not found on any of the Longview area courses. Few holes play through some of the recreational areas... might get crowded in the summer months. If you play roads (outside of guard rails) as OBs it can be a tough course. All in all a great course and place. My new favorite in the area.
