@johnriverbend
Potential with some upkeep and maybe some upgraded baskets these freedom disc things are just practice baskets
@zeltronx
Here's how to get the most out of this course: go before or after mosquito season. Wait til it's dry. The fairways are narrow (8-20 ft) so bring brightly colored discs (pink is best), and unless you're confident in your shot shaping, disc down to mids and putters only. There is rollaway potential on a few holes, but as long as you're careful, nothing catastrophic. Maybe skip this one if you have asthma or your mobility is limited, there's a solid amount of inclines and declines to contend with. I could see how one might have a bad time on this course, but honestly, this is a decent course, and it doesn't deserve the hate it's been getting.
@skitzton
Considering it was the only 18 hole around the grand rapids area, it was very disappointing. 0 tee pads, too short of holes, too narrow of fairways, etc... it was impossible to work on my long drives. I used putters the entire time. Overall maybe the worst I've played but that's not saying a lot because I've only played a handful of courses in the Minnesota area. But compared to BRP in East Bethel, River Rock in Owatonna, and Todd Park in Austin, it's extremely amateur.
@juniemil
Literally in a cross country ski trail. Leave your bag and bring a couple of putters. Course is one big 15 foot tunnel. Fern lined so going off the trail make disc retrieval a challenge
@dziesmer10
Just plays on a ski trail, buggy, outdated poor quality baskets. Unfortunately the nicest course in the area
@wescaya
Not really a disc golf course, but 18 baskets along a walking path. No drivers needed as the course is too narrow and winding. But if you want a place to work on your putters, this fits the bill.
@jilkellydg
Most. Mosquitoes. Ever.
@cane303
A good course but a few of the holes are overgrown and the mosquitoes are horrible, bug spray doesn’t do much either.
@joshham17
Lots of skeeters but a great course for working on shot placement.
@resultedbeast99
Don’t come if you are a mosquito magnet like me. Bug spray doesn’t help.
@jugdecook
Real fun course along a cross country ski trail. Even though the teepads are dirt, they are mostly flat. Makes a difference being flat. We’ll play every time we’re up this way.
@poorleno
Needs better signs for a forest course. Hard to tell the exact layout without walking the course beforehand
@benzippers2
Honestly a pretty great course and beautiful scenery would recommend playing for more experienced players tho
@stevehardyman
Fun short technical course along a cross country ski trail. With better tee boxes and baskets this could be a five. Worth the time if you are in the area, we enjoyed it. As it is it is probably a 3 but I wanted to make up for some of the people giving it a low rating because it is too tight for them
@janz17
Without udisc the course would be unplayable to a new person. Baskets are mostly single chain baskets which tend to spit out putts. But on the plus side this course works your midrange accuracy and the walk is very beautiful
@mattw96
I like it pretty well, sure wish they had better baskets with more chains, or even just add chains.
@machinnes
Narrow corridors and dog legs. But a nice hike.
@gmhleaf
I almost didn't go from all the bad reviews, but it was really fun. Fairways are narrow but the course I learned in in Colorado was even more tight. Pars are very forgiving, I scored a - 18 and it was such a beautiful forest and walk. Inseresting shots to be played. Not bad, just different. I would play it again, though if it were the only course option I had it might get old.
@jiebs14
The course is not a disc golf course. It is a bike path with baskets. The fairway is the bike path and there are no indicators for where the holes are. It is a mess
@docthehaywood
The worst I’ve ever seen the course conditions.. Used to be my home course, but do yourself a favor, and go to the Grace Bible course instead. The trail has not been mowed at all this year, which means I triple doused myself in bug door and it didn’t matter. The poison ivy, and underbrush is so high I spent 20 minutes looking for my disc that had landed on the fairway. Had to leave after hole 4, because it was only getting worse the further in. Do not play here until something is done about it.
