I played in late fall, so the leaves were brutal. Pretty hard to navigate at times. Got lost even with the app a few times. Signage definitely needs an upgrade. Baskets were really hard to see from a distance. Some nice elevated tees and shots though.
@mzdfly
Great course from the longs. Awesome elevation changes and some fun straight shots. Baskets suck and need color. I had to walk to some of them to even find them.
@bernchip5110
Course map design 7/10, easy to navigate 7/10, shot shapes 7/10, bugs in face while putting 8/10, difficulty finding baskets 8/10. If you remember bug spray and play the course often enough to know where the pins are located it’s a good course. Otherwise, frustrating. #1 thing to improve this course would be bright flags on the baskets. Back 9 did get easier to see them though.
@vibeguy
Existing tee signs didn't match the "smart layout" At all and udisc seems more accurate. Back 9 is awesome, front 9 was good. Wayfinding needs work - what signs between holes there are, they're brown. Clear walking paths are not always visible. Tee shot shapes are mostly obvious, fair, and have variety - a good time even playing blind.
@huckywill
Loved the holes, but the signs at the tee boxes and the UDisc layout were often very different
@goosetav
A unforgiving and heavily wooded course with very long holes and steep elevation changes on a rugged hillside park. The easier shorter layout doesn’t have any teepads or helpful signs or even a clear or noticeable throwing fairway line at all providing quite a challenge for a disc golfer like me. It does open up and becomes easier to play towards the final several holes though.
@elijah10
Solid track. Technical and wooded, lots of boulders and elevation changes. Good pads and decent design.
@avbminc
A ton of trees down from the recent storm. Basket on 11 damaged. Walkway on 14 obstructed by fallen tree
@nathanmunster01
Such a great course! So much variety with gorgeous views. Watch out for the leaves on the ground right now but other than that I highly recommend this course!
@mrmonorail
Leonard is a 40 year old course that holds up incredibly well among modern disc golf courses. Leonard has a great variety of shot shapes with fun, challenging and in my opinion very fair fairways. It's almost never crowded and is challenging enough to remain fun and engaging even after 20+ rounds played. My personal favorite course in the westchester/NYC area.
@n0thing
Tight wooded course. Long pins are not actually harder, normally more distance but par 4. Also, no long basket on every hole. So it takes a round to figure out. Overall fun course. Some ravine throws that really reward precision. Couple of possible midrange ace holes.
@tayloredwards
Beautiful course weaving around, up, and down a small mountain. Lots of fun holes. Old baskets but perfect tee pads
@mcmisko
Really nice course, with old school style holes. Lots of shot shapes required. Beautiful exposed boulders and great use of elevation. Love the history of the course, and playing it.
@mgilden
Solid woods course with some tight but fair lines. The last 2 holes are more open than the rest of the course. Some interesting pin positions that use the natural, rocky landscape well. Would love a basket upgrade to some more visible baskets.
@dalthecow
Had a little trouble finding some teepads but it was challenging and fun. Also would have been nice to know there was a drop off behind like hole 14 i think it was. My disc probably went 150 feet down the cliff, never found it
@hyoomac
Elevation changes and thick woods, but all holes have fair lines. Great teepads. Aging signage. Old, difficult to spot baskets. Poor Next Tee signage, and uDisc maps are not entirely accurate. #9 short basket is missing - play to the par 4 basket on the ridge. A few dramatic cross-the-valley holes. Physically demanding course; a rocky hike, and after hole #2, nothing is flat. Deep leaves in the Fall. Detailed review at Discgolfcoursereview.com
@modemanabides
Beautiful course, very well maintained and fun holes. No complaints at all except I got heckled for wearing a Red Sox hat
