Good Conditions
Set in a large and beautiful park, Lehigh Parkway was the finishing course in 2005 world championships. The layout has changed considerably since then but the spirt of the course is intact with longer par 3's as well as a mix of scorable and challenging par 4's that suit this course well for skilled Amateur's and Pro players. Lehigh Parkway requires the player to have good course management, avoiding OB strokes and knowing when to lay up or to go on the attack can be the difference between shooting over or under par. The Little Lehigh Creek comes into play creating difficult water hazards on a number of holes. The course navigates between large rolling hills and flood plains near the creek, you will find that the brush on this course can be long and challenging in summer months in the flood plain areas to aid with erosion while the dry areas are trimmed reasonably well. There are 2 longer walks: the first is from hole 8 to hole 9 where you follow the parks walking path from hole 8 towards the small parking lot and then go to the left to reach 9's tee pad, the second is from hole 13 to 14 where you walk from 13's basket past hole 10's basket across the road down the gravel path to take you to hole 14's tee pad located on the left hand side. While the course is primarily open fairways you will find there are a few holes that feature tree obstacles and gaps to hit. The creek where it comes into play is OB, Walking paths and roads where they come into play are OB. There is 1 mandatory on hole 5 to the left of the large tree down the fairway to avoid the risk of shots drifting towards the parking lot and bathrooms. If the mandatory is missed rethrow with a penalty stroke.

"Pretty course along the water. There needs to be some signage on the back 9, hole 12-13 are missing signage. There is a huge tree down across hole 9 so it looks like needs some upkeep but makes for a good obstacle. I also recommend wearing a good set of hiking shoes as it was very muddy and there was a lot of poop all over the course. I mean ALOT of goose, deer, and dog poop. There were some fun tee shots and I actually preferred the back 9 over the front. "

"Poor upkeep (the path from 15 to 16 unmarked with trees blocking path)
Low pars for long holes (multiple 600+ foot holes that are par four. No Par 5s. Not a big deal but if you are trying to play under par, you have your work cut out for you.)
Multiple holes missing their Tee markers (12 and 13 are missing their sign so we had to search for the tee pad even with the apps GPS)
It is a good hike and fun to play, but the above issues really hindered the enjoyment of the course."
