Played on the red tees during a relatively dry period and it was very muddy, seemed like there were some drainage issues. Several pin locations were also annoyingly close to the water. Also pretty conducive to tree kicks into the water. Course needs a lot of mulch. But a lot of ace runs and a fun jump putt shot on 17.

I’m judging this course on its current conditions, in that it’s about as dry as it probably gets. Overall, I thought this was a super fun course with some interesting shots! The course itself has a ton of potential. Tee pads and most baskets are pretty clear. The course layout isn’t the problem here imo, (though there are several baskets and tee pads that are close together so it’s easy to get turned around) but it’s that it’s built on a swamp. I can imagine that this course would be miserable to play if there was even a little bit of rain in the past few weeks. To build and maintain a course here is pretty ambitious because of how much upkeep it’d require, and it doesn’t seem like the city has done too much to maintain it (probably because there’s a tremendous amount of work that would have to go in to be properly maintained). This would be a course that I’d probably come back to in the middle of summer when it’s as dry as possible. Some holes have a pretty good amount of overgrowth that keep there from being decent lines, especially on the back 9, and 18 (blue tee) being the primary culprit.
