About the course
Grand opening on April 10, 2026, starting at 4:00 PM.
A new 6-hole disc golf course including a practice basket on the grounds of the Meierwiesen sports area. The course is integrated into the sports area and therefore takes place alongside other sports.
History
With the sale of the Milandia site in Volketswil on October 1, 2023, the only official disc golf course in the Zurich Oberland region was closed. As a result, many local disc golfers have lost their only opportunity to play the sport spontaneously and regularly. Because of this situation, the association "Schiibe Chlöpfer Züri Oberland" was founded with the goal of re-establishing a disc golf course in the region. Thanks to the donation platform Lokalhelden.ch (https://www.lokalhelden.ch/disc-golf-kurs-zueri-oberland) and the generous support of the city of Wetzikon, this is now becoming a reality. This is just the beginning. As early as autumn 2026, we will have the opportunity to discuss further expansion of the course if the disc golf course is used and the city of Wezikon receives positive feedback.
