Course Review The Good: Baskets: Excellent quality — sturdy, visible, and well-placed. Teepads: Flat, spacious, and grippy. No complaints here. Signage: Clear and helpful with good visual design. The Bad: The course flow is rough. Transitions between holes (especially 1→2, 5→6, and 7→8→9) feel awkward and unintuitive. It took a few minutes just to figure out how to get from Hole 1 to Hole 2. Some hole designs, while creative, don’t play well or feel forced. --- Hole-by-Hole Breakdown: Hole 1 – 5/5 A fantastic opener. Challenging angles and solid design make this hole tough to birdie, but fair for all skill levels. Great risk/reward balance. Hole 2 – 1/5 Unfortunately, this one misses the mark. A basket 30 ft to the left of teepad, with a mando 70 ft down the fairway away requiring a turn-around shot back to the pin, just isn’t functional. You have to hit a 60-90 ft putt for birdie. There's no true birdie opportunity unless you hit a long putt. Suggestion: Move the basket ~200 ft straight down the fairway to create a proper challenge. Hole 3 – 5/5 A solid, arm-testing hole that forces smart disc selection. The basket placement punishes bad approaches but rewards precision. Well done. Hole 4 – 5/5 A difficult but fair par 4. The gap through the trees demands accuracy. Hitting early means scrambling for par. A rewarding challenge for skilled players. Also having the option to throw to closer basket gives options to players. Driving Range – 3/5 Nice feature with multiple baskets for distance control practice. Only downside — its placement mid-course feels a bit out of place and disrupts flow. Hole 5 – 5/5 Another strong par 4 with plenty of hazards. Staying on the fairway is critical. Bonus points for the basket — not just functional, but beautiful to look at. Hole 6 – 5/5 A short but smart hole. Tempting enough to attack for birdie, but the creek adds real danger. Excellent example of thoughtful design. Hole 7 – 4/5 Short and technical. Trees offer a fair challenge, but the walking path directly behind the basket is concerning — a long throw could easily become a safety issue. Hole 8 – 1/5 Good concept, poor execution. A double mando over a creek with the basket hidden across a walking path isn't safe or birdie-able for most. Suggestion: Relocate the basket behind the tree on the slope across the path — still tough, but safer and more realistic. Hole 9 – 4/5 Great use of elevation and a tricky basket placement near the creek. A tough birdie, but a solid finishing hole that tests control and touch. --- Final Thoughts: This course has serious potential with fantastic infrastructure and some truly excellent holes. However, a few design choices and safety concerns hold it back. With a few adjustments to flow and hole layout, it could become a top-tier experience.

Shot variety could maybe improve (lots of dogleg lefts). Some confusing walks between holes. Playground is near main south entrance/aquatic center. Other amenities include restrooms, tennis courts, aquatic center (summer), and a few camping spots that look nice. There's also a driving range half way through the course.
@bckcntryskr
It was a fun layout. Hole 2 is unique for the area. Tighter here than most city parks.
@kipjones52
Solid course. Needs a few bridges. Specially between holes one and two. Good signage and baskets.
@tanto18
The long and technical description suits this course well. A fair bit of walking between some of the holes but a well thought out and challenging course.
@cholton
I give five stars on the effort for the signage, tee pads, and getting a course in. The course itself has a few fun holes, but overall it is very poorly designed. I recommend playing it for yourself so you can make your own judgement.
@mmfc07
DO NOT listen to the HATERS. This course won't be on the PDGA circuit like those guys.... BUT, beautiful signage, some unique shots, made by a 70 year old disc golf enthusiasts who created a tribute course with character. Some double back issues but I felt like the driving range, seating, and overall effort overcame the moderate inconvenience.

Unfortunate design in a park that has so much potential for a great course. Poor use of the land, backtracking on multiple holes, and gimmicky shot shapes leaves a lot to be desired when playing this course. A few holes are blind shots to the basket then require you to walk backwards to the tee you just threw from to traverse to the next hole which poses a significant safety issue if the course is busy. Hole 2 has a mandatory where you throw 120ft around a tree then back to the basket that is sitting 30ft left of the tee pad. This course is a week old and is already in dire need of a redesign.
@prestonlarson
It’s definitely a difficult course with lots of variety. It was a very scenic walk and made for a difficult round. Beware of the water and maybe don’t use your favorite disc but if you wanna challenge yourself this course will do it. The walking may be a little tough due to the lack of bridges in certain areas so beware. You can’t make a throw on hole 8 which would be a very fun hole if the tree was cut back. Overall courses, amazing and brilliant!
@zfdruber
Really cool shots and design overall / Bland in some holes
@nathanpielstick
For sure needs bridges across the creek that runs through the park alot of unnecessary walking or must jump the creek. Would be a great course if there were bridges
@nlund15
The course was fun to play but there is room for improvement with course design/flow. The walk from hole 1 to 2 was hard to navigate and the hole layout with the Mando on hole 2 was weird. The rest of the course flowed fairly well though.
@drewfloyd321
When I first played this course I was definitely confused by what the designer was doing. The more I play it the more potential I see this course has. As I play the holes I can see how much thought went into the course! The course challenges you to place shots and shape shots that a lot of course lack in the Nebraska. This course takes you back to the roots of disc golf where all you need is a putter and a mid. Shaping and controlling speed. It does need bridges for safety and flow. Hopefully there’s plans for that in the future.
@owenwpdgc
If you are okay with losing four discs like us, you would enjoy it. Definitely a good challenge. And there needs to be some bridges. I had to jump the creek many times.
@shaunthomas333
Fun new course, definitely needs some bridges to go across creeks to avoid unnecessary traveling.
@brooksb7
Hard course, they tried so hard but it just isn’t there. They need bridges on 3-5. The holes just are not fun
