The majority of the course is wooded and a nice peaceful nature hike. However, there are a couple open holes that offer the opportunity to air out some big drives, particularly hole 14. The fairways are defined and well maintained, yet are tight enough to force the player to hit their intended line. Numerous holes offer opportunities for ace runs, but the greens are situated in ways that make you wary of going for those shots. The par 4s and par 5 are what make this course for me. Some of these holes offer eagle possibilities (especially from the red devil layout), but the danger potential for errant shots is huge and can be punishing. These holes are set up for the player to really choose between playing placement golf and going for the big shot. The tee pads are some of the best I’ve ever played on. The turf was level and offered excellent grip even in the drizzly conditions that I played in. I have played numerous “high level” courses, including getting the chance to play Fox Run and Maple Hill last summer. I would honestly rather have this course in my backyard than either of those. This was an amazing course and the exact style of disc golf that I personally love. Play it if you have the opportunity.

This is a prime example of what disc golf should be! Creekside is a true work of love for the sport and a passion to play. Cultivated holes through nature's beauty as if they had been there since the forest began. The recent additions of sturdy teepads, and ample signage make Red Devil (shorts) & Maverick (longs) a worthy addition to your 'Wishlist'. The course is always well groomed and gorgeous to just walk through. Bring your 'A' game and enjoy the Virginia course that disc golf "Lovers" built.

Worth the 1.5 hour drive. 💯 Once the Red Devil baskets are upgraded, this course will eadily rank among Central Virginia's best.
@trafficonedg
Amazing course and offers good shots with challenging holes. Expect lots of hills and tight fairways that are still pretty fair. Overall, a really good course
@jakeress21
Amazing course. Very impressed with quality of whole course.

As of today I’ve now played every school course in Virginia (250+ VA courses out of 1111+ total). I only mention that for context to say that this is the best school course in Virginia! No question, and it’s not even close. Great tees with 2 baskets on every hole! 3 greens added to my list of “Beautiful Greens of Virginia” and 1 hole added to “Great Holes of Virginia”!
@throwingcircles
Wonderful course to play! A nice variety of wooded holes and open holes with some water that plays into the out of bounds. Would highly recommend checking out.
@babachruma
The recent addition of tee signs and “NEXT TEE” markers throughout the course removed one of the few knocks against this course. Creekside is quickly approaching the status of one of the best in Virginia; certainly the tee pads are better than most/all around. The shot variety and challenge are both top tier. The views are beautiful (woods, fields, creeks, and a lake mean wildlife galore). Once some conveniently placed port-a-potties are added to the course, there will be nothing lacking.
@wildernessben
Great wooded technical course. Signage between holes could be more helpful.
@hauschlb
Wonderful course design with well thought out basket and tee placements! Contact the caretakers for info.

This course rules!
@lilsplash
Great course in a beautiful setting. Brand new, perfect tee pads on every hole. A lot of different shot shapes and a lot of elevation. Fun, but challenging course. Will be back!
@nxltrombone
Loved the course! Beautiful, wooded, fun but challenging. Thanks so much for the upkeep and all the hard work. Awesome tee-pads!

Amazing course
@robbins
Beautiful course!
@tommymsa
Beautiful, scenic and technically challenging course. Maverick layout will test the most experienced players and Ted Devil is a fun change of pace with a lot of birdie opportunities. Newly installed tee pads are outstanding!
