Have played the course a few times over the years. At this time of the season the grass and weeds are crazy dry and a bit high. Your stickers will have stickers. Any form of markers indicating where the next tee is or what basket im throwing to would also be great. Maybe goat's for when the grass gets to tall?

Ready to sacrifice a pair of shoes and socks, stickers everywhere. Pants are a must.

Well ...I can't say I wasn't warned. Someone mentioned a ruined a pair of hiking shoes from all the stickers. I can also say I didn't believe them... Now I have a pair of ruined hiking shoes and hiking socks. The long open tees play to my strength, I had to stop after five holes because of the brutal stickers.

Played a few weeks ago and it was great. Since then the grass has gotten so tall that it’s up to your waste and hard to find discs. Great layout and really like the course. Just depends on the time of year you go.

Good use of elevation and variety of shots using the sparse trees. For having dirt tees, they weren’t very troublesome. Good hike and beautiful views.

Great foothill golf. Foxtails and long grass aplenty this time of year, so it’s important to stick to the fairways… which are also a bit overgrown. Fun variety of lines and shot shapes, and a good amount of elevation change.

Map was fairly accurate. Tee pads were not good but I played in the rain soooo. I think a little gravel and they’d be better. Fun course

Fun course design, better teepads and better signage would greatly improve the course.

Great Oak/ golden foothills course. Weeds can be annoying but that is just the foothills. Would like to see a bench on hole 8 9 or 10. App directions really help on these bigger 18 hole courses.

cool course but with all the fox tails even if you stay on the fair way make it almost not worth it. I’ll for sure be back later on in the year when the conditions are better, but right now not worth the drive if your not from the area

No crowds even on a Sunday afternoon. Dirt tee pads were nice and solid. Totally worth the drive there. Grass could be long at points but thin enough to not hide your drive, and didn’t get bit by a single foxtail, which is strange since most courses get pretty infested in the spring

Coarse is kinda hard to follow at points. Hole 11 is marked as “13” so we walked around for a good 10 minutes looking for “11”

Would put 5 stars but the hole maps could be better and directions to certain holes were unclear. Honestly in my personal top 5. Go as soon as you get a chance!

Grass is getting to the point where you gotta watch it land to find it.

I think I actually like the East more than the West course. Maybe it's a little more scoring friendly so that could be why. Some beautiful views and very fun throws. I'm definitely not the first or will I be the last to say it but the signage has to be updated. Some holes don't have any signage and paths aren't always that clearly marked. I'm fine with dirt tee pads because it's easier on the wear and tear of shoes. If the signage was updated it'd be a 5.

Definitely a nice course design and layout, with a variety of distances and obstacles. It’s pretty exposed though, and the dead foxtails can really get all up in your shoes and socks. I’d advise playing this course, and its sister course in the cooler months of the year, especially spring when the grass won’t be dead. Also, pretty easy to lose discs, so it might be helpful to have someone a bit further down the hole to track where they end up.

Fun course, seems to play a little quicker that the West course. Long foxtails and stickers so wear denim jeans and leather boots. If you don’t have that, like me, I wore shorts and sandals without socks and it worked well, nothing for the foxtails to stick to. Keep a real good eye on your discs and watch for snakes!

I think these are the finest courses in the Central Valley. Beautiful vistas, varied and interesting play, and never crowded. With the UDisc map navigation is straightforward.
