@rferlick
Good beginner course but wish more variety. Kind of a drive and putt situation
@northernpines
Fairly easy to find your way through course, and there are a handful of exciting holes, but overall the signage is weak and the distances are often wrong. Fun enough I'd play again, but the there are many boring field holes on the back 9
@psubraden
This was a great course for the family. Its holes were relatively short distances (usually about 150-200 ft.). Most of it was open area. Using the UDisc app was very helpful with following the holes.
@catnhat
Good for beginners. Waze will guide you astray: look for the park’s formal address. Sometimes difficult to find the next hole. Some construction & trash in the wooded areas, including broken glass, so be mindful. A bathroom in the middle of the park, a few benches & picnic tables.

Unobstructed Course at local park

To start with the negative- Poor signage, UDisc is much better guide than the signs. A few are pointed in the wrong direction so unless you double check UDisc you may play a new hole by accident. Not saying I did that…. I can’t be the only one right? But seriously double check before assuming. teepads are subpar; just grass and or dirt patches. With a few being a part of the walking trail that goes through A number of shots cross or are near a playground and or walking trail so be on the look out for fellow park users. Now for the good: The layout is great and can really reward well thrown shots. Bad shots can be recovered for par. There is a good mix of woods and field holes. All in all this is a great example what a beginner course should be. Nothing crazy hard without another route to the basket. It can make you work tunnel shots to an/hyzers (both),to forehands. A lot of fun to play and so long as you aren’t expecting a top notch course and enjoy the park and course for what it is
@patrickwj2
As an experienced player with 100+ courses played, I've played plenty of short park courses that were fun and well designed. I can forgive short while open shots in a park as open as this, but i cannot forgive blatent safety concerns. - Tee areas are within 50 of baskets in many cases, which isn't necessary considering the size of the park. - Hole 1 throws right along the parking lot over the walking path the whole way, hole 2 throws right alongside a playground unprotected, hole 3 was unplayable due to horses on the hitching posts in the primary fairway, hole 4 was over an active picnic area... you get my point. There is plenty of space to stretch things out away from populated spaces, and yet they felt the need to put a 91ft par 2 for hole 17. A redesign could remedy these issues and make it a fun little beginner level course, but right now I would not return.
@funkydung
Do not use the directions tab provided here, it sends you to the middle of nowhere. Whomever set that up did a very poor job. You want Hopewell Township Park. 217 Shippensburg Rd
@trumpethero7
The field on the back nine by the entrance to the park can be swampy, plan accordingly based on recent rain. The course is fairly straight forward and fun to play, with some challenge along the forest portions.
@patrickrb
Multiple short holes and many flat grassy areas so very wet with a little rain
@camwintendo
Great beginner course. Good mix of open 200-300ft holes and short tightly wooded holes
@tomboyrn
Too easy to turn the arrows on the baskets to face the wrong way.
@hyoomac
The short holes, old DGA baskets and signs make you wonder if it's been around much longer than 2013. With five par 3’s of 185’ or shorter (and a par 2 of 96’!), it’s easy to think you should be throwing lids wearing short gym shorts and long tube socks. Easy play in less than an hour. The lack of trouble and the short holes make it a good place for introducing newbies. Baggers should come here to score; otherwise leave it to beginners.
@mangosteen
Back 9 is wet and marshy sometimes.
@patty97
Decent course, wouldn’t drive too far to play
@tksteeple
Windy/wet...always
@dscoot1109
Busy weekends at a couple holes. Watch for pedestrians
