Adequate. Not much shade/obstacle. Mostly avoids walking path, yall know I like that.

Beginner friendly course that is open with moderately long holes with easily to follow signage.

Open park course. Good use of the elevation it does have. Great for a short round.

Nice short course to take beginner friends. Fun easy lines to work on accuracy. Great upkeep and overall a solid short 9

Great fun little course! Probably best to avoid on a Saturday due to soccer and baseball games. Park is a little small, so people can be on the fairways. Will be back!

Great tee pads, but lots of mud/soft ground around them--even long after a rain. Tee signs are pretty, but at least one was backwards (!), and they did not include distance to the pin (!!!). The course itself appears to have been designed by a player, rather than a professional course designer. Very few scoring opportunities unless you can throw 350+ uphill, but also no real reason to take anything worse than par on any hole. Our group had high hopes, but we ended up bored, and I don't see any reason to go back.

It's a fun park style jawn. Probably could be designed better, but its in the ground so my circles are happy to fly. 8 is a silly par 3 short about 400 ft up hill. At least on hole 2 you can get away with a roller. 8 would be cool as a monster downhill and play up to 9. Still fun!

This will be a 5 star 9 hole once it has tees and signs on the holes. Great use of the land that’s here. Some of the current signs in the ground are facing the wrong direction of the hole, so beware of that. Lots of different fun shots, great to play really quickly when you have some time. Hole 8 is not 1100 feet long haha!

Northview Optimist Park is an adequate design considering the limited land features. The layout does a good job using the available elevation. Overall, the course doesn't offer much that is unique, but the classic closer is a fantastic design and makes up for a few of the ordinary holes. Read my full review at www.dgcoursereview.com.

I’ll caveat this by saying I’m from out of state and we came here because this had one of the *higher ratings around the area. It’s a Saturday evening. I’m glad so many people are out enjoying the weather. The park is an awesome family outing. Tee pads are great. Greens are great. But we couldn’t play a single hole. We drove up and someone was sitting in front of basket 1 watching soccer. They had literally the entire field to sit but they sat in front of basket 1. Cars were parked all around basket 2. So we started at 3. Attempted to play but kids were running around everywhere near the baskets. For some reason, they followed us as we walked around to see if any of the holes were playable so we ended up not being able to play anything. I’m sure the course is great during a week day before work and school is out.

Dont play on the weekends. You'll be throwing into families most of the holes.

Good start here. Classic nine in a small local park. Great for beginners and locals needing a good practice course

Fun, short, and open course playing through the park. Nothing particularly challenging or unique, but the course does incorporate some large pine trees and elevation to make players pick their lines and disc speeds to find the green. Signage is a bit lacking but not terrible.

Excellent use of the property. Great tees and baskets, with the one improvement of still needing signage. Once the smaller trees mature it will provide great lines and shot shaping.
