@pmannovr
The course was better than expected from some of the older reviews. Looks like the park is currently constructing new concrete tee pads.
@jmonty1
Great course can’t wait for the rest of the tee pads to be concrete overall had a great time.
@jmerrill2007
Definitely needs some maintenance… tee areas signs everything is pretty much falling apart . I guess for 2$ can’t ask for much more 😆
@ogp631
Hole 6 not correct
@kaycee15
Nice walk through the woods. Signage only on red tees, so if you want to play white, ya gotta check the red first to see where the basket is. Nice course with a variety of shots.
@robzerby85
Good fun course. Lots of different shot shapes available. My only real complaints are the tee pads are too small and should be concrete. The baskets are sometimes difficult to see.
@turtleboogie
Needs new tee pads, especially since it’s a pay course. They put in two new tee pads last year and haven’t completed anymore since, instead looks like they used the content for a new sidewalk to the cabanas.
@cantal
Course getting upgraded Tee pads, so the coure is good and getting alot better
@chainchief
Northwest River Park offers a challenging disc golf experience with its tightly wooded, technical course featuring a diverse range of shot shapes. The option to tee off from red and white gravel boxes adds a unique touch, while the anticipation of upcoming concrete tee pads promises an even better playing surface. The course is well-marked, ensuring easy navigation between holes, and the absence of difficulty finding the next tee pad enhances the overall experience. While it's an excellent winter course in Chesapeake, be prepared for a buggy summertime round.
@joesavage
For a paid course, could be concrete tees, great trail course, completely wooded. Got chiggers from the course being deep wooded, probably won't go again until colder weather.
@maxkdub20
Looks like concrete pads going in soon. Concrete pads only on first tee
@ironborn
The only major issue is the dirt tee pads. Looks like they’re putting in concrete pads but still uneven dirt today.
@ninjabands
Fun winter course, with a ton of cool shots, that are not offered by other courses in the area. Wouldn’t recommend it in the summer due to bugs and overgrown fairways. Gets super swampy after rain.
@willjackson
Played the shorts… $20 membership and $2 to play a narrow wooded course through the woods. Had to ask the ranger where the course was in the park. Most of the short tees are a perfect shorter length for my lefty forehand noodle arm off the tee - gonna be easy work for righties who can flip up backhand tunnel shots most of the way. Tee pads and baskets could use a refresh but it gives it charm.
@willhoit
Bring very dry shoes...
@ft689ss
Played here several times. Heavily wooded, tight lines. The course I learned woods golf, will use variety of disc. Grass can be high on fairways, swampy after rain. Gravel tees are degrading. Long tees tight and challenging.
@jdbeems91
Fun park with lots of shade. If you get off the fairways its really tough. Holes are spaced out so you dont have to worry about disc crossing into the hole you are playing. Its a woods course so make sure to bring bug spray and watch out for critters.
