Fun to be had, a little to open; lots of just tip it shots.

This course has no business being as fun as it is. At face value, there are a lot of issues: Water hazards on many holes (2, 3, 6, 7), hellish brambles (3, 7, 18), repetitive open shots, small tee pads oriented the wrong way. Despite all of that, it is a really fun option. Unlike most Virginia courses, you don't have to thread your way through the woods, hoping you miss the rogue trees sprinkling the fairway. Instead, you just have to play consistently. It's different in its simplicity, but that is fun in its own way. If you play smart golf and execute your lines consistently, you will have very low scores. Due to the openness, there's very little luck involved. The challenge with this course is nailing your 300' open drives, and sinking your 20' putts in the wind. The repetition is boring by disc golf standards, but plenty of people have fun going bowling and playing darts. For a military base, this course punches way above its weight class. The long tees are more fun in my opinion. Also, the whole course is a lot more approachable if you can throw 350'.

In general a great course. However, hole 7 is unplayable unless you are confident that you can hit a 300 foot drive to a small green across a water hazard and through a tree.

The tee boxes often don’t point towards the pin, making following the proper hole order slightly challenging at times

Could use some TLC, just a good mowing and remove some branches, and it’s a great open course.

Actually pretty good for being on a base...if you can get to it! Some challenging holes, especially with the water. Could us a little maintenance.

Solid course overall. Some tee pads are perpendicular you holes. Hard to find tee on 1 and 12. Fun and challenging water holes

Not well maintained. Tee boxes were not all aligned to throw direction. Lots of water holes with high difficulty. Distances and par numbers did not seem accurate and did not match app. Still fun and worth a play.

This is a good course. The back 9 is open and easy. Play the front 9 if your range is dialed in because you're going over water. The few flaws with the course are surmountable.

Course is clean, clear, and wide open. Back 9 is easy to follow, front 9 is difficult as the signage doesn’t match UDisc. Hole 2 was gone and replaced with a practice basket. There are better courses in the area and this one isn’t worth traveling for.

For a course on a military installation, this course on Dahlgren is rather good, and challenging. Hole 1, basic and straight and no trees, but parking lot on right is treated as OB. Hole 2 is fun and risky due to water to the right of the basket, around 15 feet away. Hole 3 is almost like an island, water on right and left of basket. Hole 4 and 5 have been altered and moved due to new parking lot, easy par 3, birdable with good throws. If here, go play it, it's fun!

Old ball golf course. Long par 3s. 2 water holes.
