I love Oakwood and play it often. Be aware it's a cedar swamp. There are no toilets and there is going to be a lot of brush and weeds to contend with in addition to swampy areas. Still holds a special place for me though. People have damaged signage which I've tried to fix a few times. Please respect the course and pick up your trash. There ARE trash cans!
@kingcole16
Bring the bug spray. Lots of overgrown areas so use bright color discs
@teagle313
Muddy on walking paths

Absolutely beautiful course, whoever does up keep needs a raise. My only issue was finding my way around. Even with udisk it was a bit tough. Also if you can't throw down a straight alley bring long pants.
@flip2fraq
Good wooded course with mostly shorter sub 300' holes. Rough is very dense and fairways are narrow. Not really beginner friendly. Bright discs and sending spotters helps alot. Bugs are a bit much and will chase you the entire time. IMO this is a winter/cold season course. Brutal during summer.
@naseibold
Not a busy course, perfect to bring new players to as well as a dog. Just bring bug spray. Course navigation can be difficult on last few holes for new players to the course.
@dirtmcgirt810
Plenty of picker bushes and a lack of signage.
@heverlyt
A lot of narrow holes with plenty of trees. Follow red exit sign after hole 15.
@brandonredmond
Tees are decent outside of Hole two. Some holes go past technicality into luck box and unthrowable disc shots. Swings from one end of the spectrum of "how do I get there" to "simple straight putter or mid shot". Would play it again if I had the extra 90 minutes and up this way.
@tdanis84
This course was okay. It was definitely confusing with all of the twists and turns and paths not part of the course. I became turned around for a good distance several times. Having ‘next tee this way’ signs after each basket are needed. Lastly, whoever drew the directions to the baskets on the signs was off by a great deal with the angles. At least a couple of the signs made it look like you had to throw the disc in the opposite direction of where it actually needed to be. With a few upgrades this course could be a 3.5 or 4.
@dooditsbmax
Fun wooded tek course. Better signage would be nice, maybe a couple of longer holes. Will come back. Trash cans. No reason to litter…
@mfcakeparty
Beautiful course with tight lines. Great for putters, mids, and some fairway drivers. Lots of deer flies.
@jnbailey21
The brush is thick off of the fairway, but recently completed course cleanup of designated fairways is amazing.
