About the course

Runs in and out of the woods. The holes in the woods arent difficult as the trees and brush are mostly cleared out of the areas where the holes are. Eight holes in the woods with some elevation. Camping at Scioto Trail State Park and Pike Lake State Park (good course there as well). A couple elevated tees but mostly flat. This is a short course that any intermediate player could easily par. There is a practice area for putting next to the tee for hole 1. Enjoy.

It is a rough course. Tree holes have tight lanes. Lot of walking uphill. Not cart friendly. Tees are of various lengths. Baskets are serviceable but have seen better days. Holes 16 and 17 are near a parking lot. Also hole 17 is parallel to homeowner yards. Don't recommend retrieving a disc from there. Great views though. Overall a fun course but too rough for me for a replay.

This is my home course and where I learned to play the game so it’s never going below 3 stars for pure sentimentality. Objectively though it’s been kind of depressing watching this course over the years, it’s awesome that Chillicothe has so many options for a town of our size but this one has seen the short end of the stick as far as maintenance goes. Understandable given that we have so many free public courses and there’s only so many resources to go around. New tee signs were put in recently which is a plus. But several of the baskets are in disrepair, either damaged and/or coming out of the ground. Storm damage has especially taken a toll on 10 and 11’s fairways, at the height of summer growth this area almost looks abandoned. Honestly though 18 new baskets and a facelift/clearing to those particular fairways and this is right back to being a great course. If I had it my way I would modify 11 to make it less of a gimmicky hole but other than that this place has character to it and I wouldn’t change many things. I miss previous holes 16-18 mostly for old-times sake, new 16 and 17 especially are challenging shots but there is a little too much business to contend with between the parking lot surrounding 16 and private properties by 17. Overall, I’m optimistic that this course will get the TLC it needs in the near-future and will be another fun option in Chillicothe but as of right now I cannot recommend making a special trip here until it gets that attention.
