The upgrade from a tough 9 hole course to a short/long 18 hole course was the best move this park could have made. Kudos to the folks who designed and installed this improvement! There is a little bit of everything: water hazards, elevated pins, wide open hyzer shots, tight lines in the woods, long 450'+ par 4's, birdie-able sub 300' par 3's, pins for backhanders, pins for forehanders. It's amazing! My tiny criticism is that the design forces throws over driveways so if there is a horse riding event you will have to throw around cars or horses on one or two holes. Overall it is now my favorite course in the county and I hope to participate in tournaments here in the near future. Check it out!

Because of all of the wet areas, allowing mosquitoes to breathe and bite you the entire round during the summer.

@cntbg23
Deceptively really fun. It appears to be an open bomber course, with landing zones and greens that play along the edge of the woods. As you play along you are rewarded with some really well designed/fun holes .

@jonesydlux
Course was well designed and beautifully maintained. Options for short/long layout, teepads are nice and large. No signs up yet, but I'm sure there will be soon. Directional arrows on each basket point the way to the next tee and everything is mapped out on UDisc. Great property all around!!

@ncmack111
Super fun course. Definitely worth the play. T-pads are excellent. Shut design and shapes are super fun. The only issue I have is the lack of t signs and some of the artificial OB. There are several places where there's painted OB lines, but there are no tea signs to tell you that. Also, some of the OB is very unnecessary. They paint the edge of the woods as OB, but the woods should be the penalty. There are several throws where you have no idea where the OB is and then you walk to your frisbee to find it as OB. I would not play any OB until they get clear signage and clear marking of the OB. But otherwise super fun course everyone should play it

A massive upgrade from the original design. Come play it if you are anywhere near Charleston.

Fun course, some hard shots but very cool tee pad placements. Tees are awesome in general, and the views are some of the best in the area.

@fjsantanella
First time playing for my buddy and me. Became our favorite course almost immediately. Beautiful property, well maintained, pretty diverse shot variety and just all around fun.
@stu916og
Hard for a first timer as most of the baskets are hidden from the tee pad. More fun than the prior 9 hole layout by far.

@jessfletch09
Not a very technical course. It definitely rewards you if you can throw 350 plus. Great tee pads and very well kept. This course is a hike.

@texastacolover
Well maintained course with a good variety of shots. Teepees are massive, but course needs proper signage and trash cans to elevate it further.

@reformedce
Still an excellent step up when you birdie everything at John’s Island City. It’s a long walk, but worth it. The quality of the experience will be completely dependent on the park keeping the grass short.

@psavandy
Best course in Charleston by far.. from course design & layout, to shot shape & variety, the short AND long tees have everything you need to spin every pill in your bag & thoroughly enjoy doing it. Note, the skeeters will absolutely tear you a new taint, so be weary of those & trek accordingly. Keep spinnin’! Short tees course record came with me a couple weeks ago & you can bet your bottom dollar I won’t stop until the long tees course record is Vandy’s as well.. THEY’RE COMIN WITH ME 🏆

@djskinner
Great course! Thunder storm rolled in so had to cut the round short but will play again!!!!

@orangeoneill
The recent updates / overhaul to the course elevate this course to the top tier of courses in the state.

@aklaasmeyer
Brand new. Great pads. Nice lines. In and out of the tree line. Nice par 4’s. Fun, full shots. Brand new disc catchers. Beautiful land. Great course.

7/13/25-This is one of the longer local courses recently redesigned by Squirl and Co. "Find The Line". After a beautiful drive out to John's Island you'll be greeted by a beautifully laid out course, adorned with new concrete short and long tee pads and a variety of open and wooded shots. UDisc is on point making this a must play!
