I'm not a local and so finding the first letter hole was a bit confusing. Besides that, navigating the course is fine; great signage throughout. Plus, playing through the ruins of an old Town is just really cool.
@schevenius
Awesome environment to play in. Very cool to play around the ruins of the old mining village (particularly holes a-i). A bit tricky to figure out here and there and some difficult terrain in spots, but well worth it!
@stock853
Way finding from 14 to 15 is confusing but course is fun
@wescaya
Of course needs maintenance and some of the trees need to go. A lot of holes have their ways where you’re throwing at trees and hoping you miss them all. Signage is sparse and sometimes it’s actually wrong. You definitely need U-disc to navigate this course.
@schneemobile
It's a cool course. Lots of views and scenery. Some of the pathing isn't friendly to walking hole to hole.
@watchitbend
Some really great and unique holes, but wow do I dread being off fairway during the mid summer foliage!! 27 holes, really peaceful and quiet at times. Great topography and terrain. No water in play. No huge downhill bombers.
@tay71980
Be ready to hike! Definitely not cart friendly course, sharp, metal and glass objects from an abandoned mining town,
@dlarkeye
Better signage would be nice if it weren’t for UDisc I would of been lost on about 5 holes. Amazing course otherwise.
@natedoggg30
This course has serious potential but needs a lot of work. Starting with the bad. Yes there’s glass everywhere it’s an old abandoned town. The fairways are clear but some of the lines on the longer holes are non-existent and require more luck than skill hitting your lines. If you get off the path from a tree kick, good luck scrambling back out to save par. And the biggest issue is the layout. The signage is just terrible and the holes zig zag back and fourth over top of each other which makes playing quick and efficient impossible without stopping to look at UDisc. Finally the parking situation is pretty rough since there’s not a designated lot. Now the good, the scenery is really cool with it being an old mining town there’s a lot of history in the area. Holes A-I are crazy fun holes but they are also the only ones that give you truly defined lines. The teepads are great. Yes some go uphill or downhill but they’re not your standard concrete so even better. With a little help, this could easily contend for the one of the best courses in the state of Michigan even being in the UP.
@ryanwille
Be careful if bringing your dog or small children because of broken tiles and broken glass near tee and on fairways. Otherwise good fun course.
@thedangerwhip
Beautiful course that we've through some old ruins. Tee pad's are in great shape. Some really difficult and basically impossible par 3s that can make the round frustrating, but the surrounding beauty of the forest makes you forget all about your double bogeys.
@maverick1173
Nice technical course. Most holes run short with a couple of longer ones to keep you honest. Amazing views make it a course that sticks out. Sweet old foundations of the small mining town that the course runs through.
@jcporter81
Strap on your boots, bring snacks, and plenty of water. Beautiful. Technical. Fun!
@wallrusarmy
Unique technical course, one of my personal favorites in the area
@brianphillips
Love the course, however the tee pads alot of them are sloped badly and not level at all.. this would be a 5 star course if pads were fixed. I still stand by this after jist playing it again this morning in the wind.. great course but the tee pads are bad
