Palo Cedro is my favorite course to swing by for a quick 9. The original 9-hole layout can be completed in under 20 minutes. I’ve aced hole 1 and hole 9 in that layout (my only 2 aces). Love this course! It’s sometimes overgrown, sometimes mowed. Mostly shorter holes but a lot of difficult shots due to trees. Almost never busy. There’s plenty of trash cans spread throughout, even on the new back 9. The tee signs are numbered incorrectly due to changes going on at the course. Edit 2: The back 9 has some concrete teepads finished! Hole 8’s basket was destroyed and is now a temp basket held down by bags of concrete. Hole 9’s basket was moved down near hole 13’s teepad and now plays as a 245’ hole coming back toward the next hole’s teepad which was previously a significant walk around or cut through the roped-off area. So the map needs to be redone because now the 500’ hole is #9 and they need to be renumbered on UDisc and have the new hole 9’s basket location fixed. Edit 1: The full 18 is really coming together! Paths are being created between holes for easy walking and it’s really starting to flow! The ~530’ hole #10 should probably be par 4. The tee sign says it’s par 5 and UDisc says it’s par 3. (UDisc points to an incorrect basket on hole 10 (hole 7s basket), resulting in a displayed distance shorter than reality, so be careful). Also I think more of a lane should be made on hole 16, perhaps just trimming off the lower branches on the pine with a pole saw. These are my personal opinions. There’s also a KILLER safari layout of the front 9. (Using the classic 9-hole layout numbers): 9s teepad to 2’s basket. 3s pad to 6s basket. 7s pad to 4s basket. Normal 5. 6s pad to 3s basket. 7s pad to 9s basket. Normal 1. 2s pad to 3s basket. 7s pad to 8s basket. Perfect flow, starts and ends at same corner by parking lot. Especially nice lanes since so many trees have recently been removed.
