Penn’s Prairie DGC at Tri-Municipal

Flow of the course is very easy to follow but signage at the tees is needed. I'm sure it will be coming soon. The only risky hole is (i think) hole 12 that has a very dense hedge row 250 straight out from the Tee that if you push to far to make the Mando and avoid OB left its easy to lose a disc. Thinning of the hedgerow and or cut outs to find disc's would eliminate that issue.

The rough eats discs really quick..... bring five backups for all of your discs

Worth a stop or drive if you're in the area and it's been mowed. The nice pads and baskets go a long way to making a basic course playable. Pretty much every hole can be birdied with 325'+ distance, and the land is just hilly enough to keep it interesting, despite a fair number of wide open field throws. Kudos to the locals for the work that has been done!

I really love this course! It has island holes long bomber holes and even a little bit of woods action! We are very lucky to have this course.

Good course. Mix of long and short. Mostly field shots and not much ob.

Course was nice, but the grass needed mowed.

Imagine a boring wide open hole... times it by about 14, you got Tri Municipal. Well groomed = 1* 18 good baskets = 1* 1*/#holes x #goodholes = ~1*

Windy open fields. 825’ par 4 seems like it should be par 5.

Fun course, decent upkeep

The rough is definitely rough, but being from Centre Hall it's over all a great course to basically have in my backyard.

Grass is so high. Plus yellow jacket nest under 18 tee pad

Decent course but a few holes are sketcky, real easy to lose a disc that isn't even that far off. Nice views though

Trash cans would be nice up 1 but besides that. Great course. A lot of wide open shots to rip some discuss. Nice views. A handful of technical woody shots

Play with your friends or you'll spend a healthy amount of your round looking for discs. It can get windy too!

Just pads and holes. Layout seems ok. The straw fields bordering some holes make find an errant throw a pain

Update summer 2023: mostly open course with some elevation changes and wooded areas. Beginner friendly as long as the hay isn’t too high. Fence rows still need work. Plans for improving tee 18 are (still) in the works.

Great mix of shots for being such an open course!! Mixes bombs and technical short holes well.
