Short but nice Summer I skipped hole #1 to much disc loss for me there. For a par 2-3 course in small wooded park one of the better ones in Georgia. I’ve been to bigger courses in the area that would benefit from coming here and seeing how to use the space available to make a course makes sense. Thank you city of Gainesville for putting this small but “great layout and use of space” available for all of is to enjoy.

Hole three is the only hole that I haven’t been able to play the 5 times I have played there because there is always card parked in the fairway

Cool little 9. Couple par 2's! Hole 9 has a concrete tee pad, the rest are dirt.

Do a donations drive to collect for cement tee pads.

Only concrete tee is hole 9, odd. They really need concrete tees due to trip hazards. Hole 1 is a par 5 on a 550+ ft fairway.. um.... Yeah. The design I thought wasn't terrible but I dont like throwing towards the restrooms where people are or into the street where cars can run over your discs. Overall it was a bit technical and good for long distance drives. Hard to make par if you are a newby or green.

Hole 1 needs to be cleared a lot. There are a lot of young trees that have grown up since the course was made that has made it an impossible hole unless you have a lucky drive. Also the underbrush on hole 1 is really thick off of the 4 foot wide path that runs through it. The rest of the course is great though! Still love to play it

Good course to practice and try out new discs. Definitely not a destination course but I live nearby so it serves it purpose.

Dirt tees, no signage of where baskets are, no signage to next tee, good for the area but not great.

Nice park, but needs more signage for first timers to show the course.

As a course that has seen multiple redesigns, Platt Park feels like a box of spare parts and none of them fit together. Featuring a bizarre opener, followed by holes that pass through high-traffic areas and bring roads and parking lots into play, the course is an odd puzzle missing some smooth-edge pieces. No tee pads so be careful. Also watch out for cars, houses, and people because it’s in a residential area. The course circles around the park. Hole 1 is impossible, but throw from next to the pickle ball court and call it a par 3 if it’s not busy. This course would be much better with more money invested into it. Seems forgotten. But I love it as a practice course.

Super short course aside from the first hole. Lots of overgrowth in the wooded areas and tons on broken glass on the trails. Goals are along roads and near parking lots making it not great to send a powerful throw.

Little scary because it is a public park so there is tons of cars and people around but otherwise fun quick little course

Nice little course probably could use a little more maintenance and some signs for where the tees are and maybe a map of the course.

Update: I like the changes and you can tell people have been putting in some work! Still far from perfect but I have enjoyed every change they’ve made so far! Fun little course! Hole 1 definitely has no playable line, and lots of cars parked in fairway of hole 3. Also, making a heavily wooded 200 foot hole a par 2 is an interesting choice
