I think this course had a real opportunity to attract new players to the sport considering the airmen’s dorms are next to the course but I would not recommend this course to a new player. Lots of longer par 3s. If you can’t throw at least 370+ accurately, then this course isn’t for you. The tee signs are annoyingly placed at the back right of the tee pads so they are slightly in your way depending on your run up. Tee signs don’t show pin placements. If I want to play a course that rewards me for throwing far and accurately, I’m just gonna go play Clapp or Oak instead. Those courses are more fun. Wichita already has so many courses. What this course could’ve been was a mids/putters only with 250 ft max holes for airmen to be introduced to the sport or to get a quick round in between work breaks. Other than the tournament coming up, I don’t see myself playing this course again. Also, I know the description says “woodsy” but that is wildly innacurate unless you consider throwing around a few trees woodsy. And quite frankly, it’s just a boring course.
