First part of the course goes through a city park and could be pretty dangerous if there were a lot of walkers out. Second part of the course has some significant ups and downs, but overall of fun, challenging, and tiring course.

Big park course with trees and elevation shots. Mixture of concrete and turf tees. Beautiful park.

Course in a city park that is a pretty busy park. They squeezed 18 holes into the park. There is some walking back to play some of the holes. There are some fun shots and you have to deal with water on the first three holes which is always fun. Not great but worth stopping to play. Not a destination course, but worth stopping and playing if you are in the area.

I think the hole designs were pretty awesome. The flow of the course felt a little disjointed for the first time through. Normal stresses of a mixed use park.

Beautifully placed around a lake. Lots of shots on a slanted hill. The geese look tougher than they are. Wonderful hanging basket on hole 9!

One of the best courses in Chillicothe area, if you take the time to really look at the layout of the course you’ll see how amazing it is to be able to fit such a complex course in a tight area.

Grass needs cut. Tee boxes were playable but could be better and more consistent.

Overall great course. The thing now with the tee pad on the flood wall hole they just added trees right in front of the tee box.

Super fun park course. It has great shot variety and lots of potential ace runs. Hole 14 is one of the most fun holes around.

Hole 13s basket was removed for the city to do maintenance to the hill side. I contacted the owner of the course

I admit that this may be a situation where familiarity breeds contempt because I played here almost exclusively during Covid several times a day when there was nowhere else to go, but this is my least favorite course in Chillicothe. There are positive aspects to this course: -Most of all Yoctangee is a nice local park, when they invented the phrase “A Walk In The Park” they could have been talking about here, A Grade setting. -Holes 1, 6, 13, 14 and 18 I can confidently say I enjoy playing. -Much like pizza, 18 tee pads and baskets with a bag of discs has an incredibly high floor and this course offers that. Some of the things I don’t like: -Prodigy baskets. The reputation is earned. -Goose poop. Not the course’s fault, we occupy nature and we do not own it. Doesn’t make it any more palatable. -This is Chillicothe’s preeminent public park, you gotta keep your head on a swivel, again no one’s fault but another thing to deal with. -Hole 2 is bad. If this was a gold-level layout or a course built for tournament play then whatever, but a wooded tunnel shot with a pond lining the right side of the fairway gobbles countless discs and is ecologically irresponsible. -4 is the worst hole in Ross County. We have our share of Poke-and-Hopes around here, but for me this is by far the least-engaging and needlessly frustrating. -15 is the second-worst hole in Ross County. Just the most annoying tee pad placement I could conceptualize given the terrain of that part of the course. I don’t find a birdie particularly rewarding, either I got the hyzer around the wall of trees in my face or I didn’t. A fun yet challenging hole is a beautiful thing but this just feels like homework. Overall, you may not gather this from what you’ve read but I would actually recommend checking this course out. A lot of these criticisms fall under the personal preference category, I just do not jive with this course. But it has a high variety of shots and takes you through every corner of an excellent park and you very well may have a great time here.
