@babachruma
Very little elevation changes, no low ceilings, and no tight/defined fairways. Just bombs away over mesquite, creosote, and palo verde in the wide open Sonoran Desert. Make sure that your discs are either durable or expendable, because they will get chewed up out here. Small round concrete arrows on the ground assist with way finding for most (but not all) holes. Good, safe course design, but kind of boring with the same bomber drive on almost every hole.
@theeggman
Fun course, but lacking in shot variety. Lots of bushes that are hard and sometimes painful to play out of
@heavycritters
Not as fun as the north course, but still worth it if you're on property.
@theriot122025
This course is one of my favorites in the Phoenix area however when you come from Peoria IL where the Ledgestone is held the courses here just don’t measure up.
@brianphillips
Alpt less shade on this course than the other one, kinda boring
@isuaggie
Flat desert landscape with lots of bushes and some trees to interfere with lines. Nice views of the Superstitions off in the distance. Lots of open and long teeshots off the excellent pads to throw your Destroyer if that's what you like.
@theharrison
Baskets aren't always obvious but the map on each tee is accurate. Will definitely come back to the course! Udisc map info was also helpful!
@tomsdiscgolf
Longs make it worthwhile but most holes are monotonous since they are all just hyzers around all the bushes.
@jenlanu
All straight lines without much variety. A long par 3 course. Good layout between holes.
@linkken58
Good tee boxes, with varying size brush/shrubs on fairway. Good variety.
@geigerhyzer
Excellent, well rounded course. Open desert with a variety of distance and shot shaping. Most stuff is right in front of you, but there are a few baskets obscured from the tee.
@jakesmith
Great
@stepcar
Fun desert course that is a playground for long throwers. Holes are not technical, but give lots of good birdie looks for big arms and satisfying par looks for average arms. Very open: bring a hat, sunscreen, and water. The new 17 and 18 are very nice! Fairly good upkeep, too. I'll be back.
@frnknstev3
I had a great time. Nice tee pads, appropriate signs and guide arrows. Even though it’s a dessert, there is grass, a mix of plants and fun wildlife. Hole layouts make sense. Difficulty by distance but not much call for different shots or technical lines. I only refrain from 5 stars due to a lack of variety but the course does well using the environment that is available.
@plasticpilot
The longer of the two courses with lots of shot shapes available. Great complement to the North course!
@jobyn2
Pathways/directions to next holes could be more clear…I’d be LOST without the app
@wallysnowbird
A fun course. Certainly desert landscape. Lots of brush to play around. There are small orange flags on a number of the baskets, but still hard to see from a lot of tees. Basket 16 is high up on a hill now. And the new 18 is over a lot of shrub/brush to the old basket 1.
@lavafrogg
Love South, not very many courses in AZ let you air it out as much as the back 9. Enough scoring oppertunities to keep it interesting for shorter arms. Some bushes are black holes of thorns and creek beds so you do have to play smart and stay on the fairways. Great counter course to north.
@dlwallis
Encountered a rattle snake on hole 9 this morning. Look before reaching for your disc.
