@eashotts
Needs some tlc to clean up the fairways, tee pads, and mow and trim back bushes and growth
@mcbroyles
Awesome scoring course, rewards accurate shots without needing a ton of power to score, some holes pretty soggy, not sure how recently it rained so I can’t judge that, but be aware especially 18. Great bridges and benches added in, a pleasure to play and props to the keepers of the course
@bighutch86
Love the shot variety here fun course!!
@bentheobald
This is an updated review. I played this course when it was first installed and rated it a 3 star. A lot of work has been done on it since, including signage and fairway landscaping. Some of the holes still use the word “fairway” loosely, but it feels like it’s SUPPOSED to be that way now. I can see where they have just a few more trees marked for removal, which look like the exact trees I would want out! In my previous review, I also mentioned that most of these were pretty short, but they fixed that with the addition of the long tees. Lots of technical 300 footers and more than a few gettable 400-500 that will make you break out your real distance drivers. Overall, super excited this course is here now, and can’t wait to play it whenever I’m in town!
@chasjr66
I Love the "knotted rope" on hole 9 to assist going down and up out of the 20 ft ravine. Without it would be difficult to get back out after a rain. Definitely need insect repellent I enjoyed the round. I will be back
@dirtracer
This course is an excellent course, the woods makes you think of your shot before you throw, there’s lines that can be taken but are tricky. Didn’t get to play all the holes cause of weather that came in. I think it is smart to have the ropes on 9 cause they did come in handy. Will definitely be back to play this again. Very wooded and I think that NO trees should come down. It’s not an open course. I loved it and it did eat my lunch on a couple of the holes. Great job on design
@chefk1
Absolutely gorgeous. When it’s done it will be an area favorite
@toddusmaximus
A great wooded course that requires accuracy in your game.
@chefreid
If you are in the area it's a fun play. I enjoyed it more the second time playing since I knew the general layout. As some others mentioned there are a few "fairways" that make you scratch your head (hole 7, 13 and 15 are on the top of that list). With a little leaking of a few pin placements and clearing a few small trees it could be a stellar course. The terrain is beautiful,l. I even saw a white tail doe near the creek. Overall fun play, but lots of room for improvement. Upkeep is good and nice concrete teepada.
@scottmca
Hole 7 shot is a very weird angle. Udisk preview lines and distances are slightly off. No tee signage except for arrows on baskets pointing to the next tee. Overall would def play again when in the area
@jamescoste
Really enjoyed the course for the elevation changes, tight wooded lines and variety of shots. It seems to be rather new course that needs to be broken in some. Tee signs (even if laminated paper) indicating what tee you are on would be great. The Udisc map was pretty accurate overall but some holes were off (think hole 6 was way off) as to which was the long and short pad. The red next tee wooden saws attached to baskets is a nice touch as are the painted arrows. There seems to be a few extra pads on the course that go nowhere. A few properly trimmed branches would make fairways a little more playable. I would love to play a tournament here one day.
@jbarker
It’s a good layout, if it had signs it would be awesome cause the UDisc is a little off on pin positions.
@harperneba
Great woods course with plenty of shot variety. Good balance of getable and difficult holes. It offers elevation changes but overall not a tough walk with shade on all holes but #18. Easy to navigate with short walks between holes. It’s a course that you may shoot 7 down one day and 5 over the next. Scrambling ability is a must to score here. This is Corps of Engineers property which limited the designer on tree removal so some shots are poke and hope but that’s woods golf. Well maintained by the city and always fun.
@reviewgod
My overall impression is that this course is not quite finished. It's a great chunk of land, with lots of potential. I'd classify it as a wooded technical course with subtle changes in fairway elevation. Baskets are portable with concrete poured into the bottom part of the stand, which means I doubt this will be the final layout. That being said, this current layout it was fun and challenging.
@willbjackson
Challenging but rewarding wooded track, with multiple tees and lines, that can improve anyone's shot-shaping. If you're passing through, it's worth the look-see!
@malabeast
Just need to take some trees out and have arrows for the next tee pads. Has a lot of potential & I see they are planning on taking down some trees. Needs to have more defined fairways instead of some of it being a poke and hope. Needs tee pad signs. In all I really loved the course and played pretty well out there. Saw lots of deer also!
@discodave07
The potential is there!!!
@themaistre
one of the premiere wooded courses in the southeast alabama/southwest georgia areas, imo. the course has come a long way from its first rounds! fun, technical course. asks for a variety of shots. a fair amount of elevation changes as well. well worth the travel for out of towners!
