This was a beautiful and well put together course! New tee pads and great signage helped make it a fun play. Not easy but not out of reach either.

A welcomed addition to Henry Horton State Park, the River Mill version is a challenging track with lots of teeth. However, many of the holes are similar length and structure – about 315 feet and heavily wooded. While the lines varied a bit, the frustration of its redundancy set in with several holes still to play. Read my full review at dgcoursereview.com.

This course needs some serious help…. I had very high expectations going into my round today after playing the OG course and came out more confused than anything. There are a few good hidden gem holes but for the most part the fairways are non existent and holes lacked the thought and care of the OG course. I praised OG for having multiple ways to attack each hole, this course it felt as if the designers are forcing you to play a certain way, regardless of each players shot shaping ability. Most holes felt like a poke and hope for me and my card of 900+ rated golfers. While we all still enjoyed are time playing today, we spent most of our round chatting about potential fairways that went unused and all of the ways we would create real fairways for the holes that are there. This course rewards luck over skill no doubt about it
