You can tell the city (and anyone else involved) has put a lot of work into creating this course. Creative use of rocks. Awesome clearing of land. Great tee pads. Great use of space in general. I really enjoyed this course. It's not a long one but it's a great beginner course with the short baskets and intermediate course with the long baskets. However any skill level will find fun here. Also nice restrooms and a water fountain. Nice views of the river too. There were a lot of mosquitoes but it's summer and by a river.. 🤷 Thanks for putting in this course I hope it gets lots of love!

Awesome course. 2 baskets in every hole, white for short & yellow for long. Concrete tee-pads are great. Technical track, you must hit your lines. Park-style golf on half, wooded shots on the other half. Nice new discatchers. Plenty of benches & places to rest. Lots of shade for hot days. Tons of cool stonework & features that give the place character. Not too much to complain about with this course. Looks brand new. Worth a visit!

Very fun par 3 course. I’m sure they’ll keep adding to it but it’s already a blast to play. Thank you to everyone who put in the effort to make it a reality.

Upon our arrival, we had the pleasure of meeting De Soto’s Mayor, Rick Walker. He was proudly telling us about the course and the tee signs to come, and welcomes feedback from the community. DG courses that have support from the city are the most likely to succeed! Front 9 was wooded, back nine open. Some holes offer scenic views of the adjacent river. Tall, mature trees lined the fairways. Two baskets on every hole. Limestone features throughout. We played the longs and then went back to play some of the shorts for bonus ace hunting. Nice amenities like concrete tee pads, bathrooms, water fountain, and benches. Only two suggestions, some trimming of the small branches on the tunnel shots will help reward good throws. A drainage hole in the tire feature to help relieve the standing water within. There’s not really anything that can be done about the skeeters. Thanks for the wonderful addition to Kansas courses!

Twig on 18 needs to go! My drive was looking beautiful till that stupid twig knocked it down.
@tnimajneb
While there aren’t permanent signs yet, everything else looks to be done. Benches and tee pads, plus two pins on every hole. Not much elevation changes but a good variety of shots and is fair for both RHBH and LHBH players. Even bathrooms with running water, drinking fountains and a small playground with swings and a climbing rope jungle gym. A couple of holes give nice views of the river without being a hazard.
@bwinn25
Could use another trashcan or two but the tee pads are good size, views are awesome and it’s nice to have 2 baskets on every hole.
@mcmisko
Fun course with minimal elevation change, and good combination of wooded and open fields. Landscaping is really nice with great usage of rocks. Course is not quite finished and missing signs at the tee. Still easy to play and navigate the course.
@c0nman17
Incredible beginner course. The shorts would be a great place to bring a first timer and the longs aren’t that hard but provide some good variety
@aaapel
Exceptional new course. Layout is fun, the river ecosystem is wonderful. They are doing everything right, just a bit more time for the work to settle in and this will be 5 star.
@aklaasmeyer
Wow. A F*#%ing plus on the build of the course. Wonderful pads. Nice greens. Much better build than you usually see on a disc golf course
@jadonmsmith
Nice new course! Will be beautiful once it grows in a little.
@threedit
On the shorter side but definitely some cool lines to choose from. A good design with several shot options. There is still some work to be done but it’s playable and will be a little gem when complete.
@mbfait
Shot variety currently leaves something to be desired, but this course has a ton of potential.
@aidane63029
Front part is incredibly fun, the back 9 has a lot standing water just off the fairways and still needs some trimming up. Looks like it'll be great once that's fixed.
