I can’t believe they hold tournaments here. There are some really good holes but the dead walking is unbelievable. It’s very very poorly laid out/designed. Great pads though. Also, on 11 you throw to an island over a road. As I let go of the disc a car came around the corner and I missed the windshield by 3”. This really shouldn’t be happening on a disc golf course
@tommytdot
Signs, signs, more signs! Otherwise fun big course.
@mamagaelic
Still in process and has great potential. Lost a Pestilence over the fence. 😪
@toakenshield
Beautiful park, obviously still under construction but already a ton of fun with decent shot variety has great potential
@canuckhucks
Riverside West Disc Golf Course is a fun and challenging course with a variety of layouts available. Signage is lacking on a number of holes and many of the tee signs that exist have been placed in poor positions for run up and tee off. The course is spread over a very large area, so the distance between pins and the next tee can be hard to find and require a lot of walking. The difficulty and shot variety is excellent. An outhouse is available near the skatepark in the south loop. Overall a very enjoyable course, just be prepared to walk a lot!
@ctyerech
Very poorly designed course. Many holes with little to no line to the hole with odd basket placements. Otherwise a very lovely park with some nice views.
@stevefilippou
Fun some interesting but an intense walk if the suns out with no breeze
@solar17
Nice course. Good baskets. Good tee pads. The holes are spread out a little too far in my opinion. Nice to see an 18-hole public course though with long and short tees
@derrickdodgson
Excellent park style course with great short and long turf teepads, hole map signage, and amenities including a kids playground, bathrooms, and water bottle filler. Lots of challenging forced lines and intuitive use of paths and road to create OB. Fun downhill shot on #18 overlooking the Belleville garden sign on the 401. Definitely worth a visit. As an alternative to starting at hole 1 near the 401, consider parking at Pirate Ship Park (water and bathrooms location and shaded parking) and starting on either hole 9 or 13.
@tribonk
The course needs work, but it is off to a great start. I’ve played several courses that are in shared use parks, while this isn’t the best example, it is far from the worst. The course uses the land between soccer pitches well enough that no game play should be affected. Cart friendly, but lots of walking between cages and teepads. Looking forward to my next round.
@nelsonvk
Exceptional course! Excellent upkeep, great shot variety, great teeoff areas and they even have washrooms.
@drc242
Played the shorts, really enjoyed the course, very beginner friendly. Only complaint is I wish the paths were shown on the signs, made some of the OBs confusing, and a sign indicating hole 8 is across the road. If you aren't looking at disc the arrow on the basket of 7 leads you to the teepad for 15 and it's easy to be confused, in fact we ran into a person on the course who was wondering around in circles trying to find the teepad for 8.
@infinitedisc
So in my previous review I said that Belleville was lucky to have a course like this, and I stand behind that. But I see that not many people play this course anymore, and there’s a reason for that; it needs a redesign. Get rid of holes 9-12 and move them to the north end of the park. They’re just too far and spread out. There’s a lot of room to put in some shorter holes elsewhere to make this course more compact and fun. Also, relocate holes 1 and 18 away from the hill as they are unplayable in the winter and unsafe in slippery conditions. Either that or create a winter layout that excludes them. My two cents anyway.
@mattferris83
Great course love the basket set ups long and short tee offs recommend it to anyone needs a bit of trimming
@jakevoskamp
lots of potential, tee signs are in the way of run ups, along with some low hanging branches on tee pads. Solid tee pads tho! I had fun
@doerksen
Very fun and challenging hole designs. However, the long distances and backtracking between many holes disrupt the flow of the course a bit. Shots over paths and roads could be difficult on busier days.
@mrhotpots
Course itself is quite enjoyable to play, and taken care of well. The biggest downside is just how spread out everything is.
@woogie
Great course!!! Very challenging!!!
@ohthatdodson
Great park course that has alot of potential, needs signage for walkers but personally one of my local favorites
