Brand-spankin’-new! The course designer cooked with what he had to work with. It’s been almost 5 years since the hurricane took our 18-hole course, it’s nice to finally have it back.

Happy to have a 18 hole course at SHJ 🥳. The property is beautiful and scenic. Very nice bathroom facilities located near hole 1. 🤗 Baskets are new innova discatcher 28. 🤤Each hole has 2 concrete tee pads. Red(short) and blue(slightly further). The Blue layout did not offer more shot variety on the hole. Disc up from what you threw from the Red pad and you should do fine. Each hole had readable tee signs. The large course overview sign near hole 1 is beautiful but lacks the course/hole par. Hole 1 is interesting due to its proximity to the water and the danger it presents right from the get go on the course. The only time a body of water presents its self on the course. Not my favorite design concept. Hole 4s basket and hole 5s tee pads are near the waters edge. Shot selection throughout the course lacked variety. The back 9 felt repetitive. The par 4s and 5s are easy to score if you can throw over 350-400. Interesting choice with mandos on a few holes. Didn’t see a defined drop zone if mando was missed. I am glad there is a new course out at SHJ, I wish it was more woods golf. The unique shot shaping lines the OG layout asked the player is what made the bob fun.

Super fun course. The rough is punishing and you will have to search for your disc. If you play the blues, it’s a nice challenge. They have OB stakes on every hole for added challenge, if you want to be official. Definitely has something for all skill levels. Will be back for sure!

Beautiful park, but maybe not quite matched by the course. Still a fun, challenging, but gettable track though. Will definitely be back!

Really been enjoying this course. The fairways are fair and the rough is rough! The slight changes in elevation add some challenges I didn’t expect to have in this area. It could easily be the place for your next hot round. But if you’re off the fairway, hope your scramble game is good. Your good shots will be rewarded and your bad shots will be punished! Overall, a fantastic course!

Had a little difficulty finding the first tee box. We found what must be an older sign… but once on the course, it was a lot of fun. The underbrush is pretty dense, but the fairways aren’t super narrow, so there’s plenty of room to play - even for a below average player like me.

Really dense brush all around, if you miss your line then good luck finding your disc. However really beautiful design and has great potential
