"It''s important to remember our heritage. This was the first 18 in Pittsburgh and one of the earlier courses in the region. If for nothing else, it's worth checking out to know your history. That's not to say the course isn't without its' charms. The opening few holes are relatively wide open and don't demand much, but as you enter the last 12, the woods require carefully placed shots, if not demanding of much power. On the other hand, course is always packed and the fairways are tight"

"Schenley is the oldest course in Pittsburgh built in the 1980’s. Many of the holes are shorter and were made when the aviar was a driver. Many holes are too close to each other and yells of “Fore” are all too common and stories of people getting hit are not rare. It’s also in a super busy park with other park users who can be oblivious to disc golf. Overall it’s a decent course for what it is. It’s a classic course in the area that gets more use than any of the others. beware of others. "

- you drive with a putter every hole

"I wanted to like this park, especially after the sweet view on hole one, but I couldn't. Once you get into the woods it's pretty much baskets and pads strewn about the park with only a handful of holes having fun or legit lines at the basket. I found the signage to be confusing, cars parked too close to baskets, and the layout to be poorly designed. Don't come here just for the view on one. "

"Concrete tee pads, signs, and bright orange numbers on the baskets all get an A+ That said, this course was built in the 80s for the discs of that era. It plays more like a pitch and putt with today’s discs. Red plays like green, white plays like red, and so on. Still, a fun, short course with a beautiful view, and you can’t complain about having such a gem right in the city."

"For a city course, this is great and real fun. You get in the woods pretty quick but for a shorter course it’s definitely fun. Well kept, very enjoyable"

"Great local course. Holes are a good mix of open spaces for some power, and wooded holes for precision. Hole #2 is a par 4 though, this has it listed as a par 3."

"Considered by many disc golfers living in the city of Pittsburgh to be their home course, Schenley Park is the go to city park course to get 18 in with a busy schedule. Short and technical with much of the course in the woods the course offers a beautiful skyline view of Pittsburgh!
Favorite holes include #2 which is a long open grassy field hole and #16, a very short but tricky downhill shot.
The course gets busy at times and is in need of maintenance TLC"
