@bradjb
Stinging nettles everywhere even just barely off the fairway. It gets super muddy with rain and doesn’t drain. There are much better courses in the area
@sixtyniner
Not a difficult course but challenging with the creek so close to many of the baskets.
@buzzzmichel
Not a super well designed course. There are a number of holes that you really gotta huck it to make par but you really don’t want to because of the creek and nasty, endless pricker bushes. Id much rather go to East Hanover township building or shank park.
@originalgtoler
Nice, short 9 hole with a porta potty. I am a lefty so the course suited my backhand and as long as you stay in the fairways it is well kept. The woods are prickly for sure.
@mtice1
Not a bad little course lots of heavy brush, so the placement of shots is critical. Lost a yellow driver on basket 6.
@jegotshall
This course isn't bad but it's isn't good either. The wooded/brush area along the fairways in the summer play like OB or straight jail. I have lost a few disc here. You play along side the water so you have to be careful about that as well. Being said, overall for a little 9 hole course the actual shots and variety aren't bad. Somewhat repetitive but I have found making your own teepads from the walking path helps fix or make better shot variety on a few of the holes. Also play in the fall or winter, the overgrowth is truly rough. Do NOT recommend for new players
@immiefresh
This course is being rated unfairly in my opinion. Is it a destination course? No. Is the rough more like an OB in the summer? Certainly. The course is however well mowed and manicured with a beautiful riverfront view. Signage is accurate and the layout is easy to navigate. Tee pads are concrete and in decent shape. While the rough is quite thick, i find the green to be plenty generous. Focus on shot placement over power and you'll have no issues. Certainly a very decent park style half course with (supposedly) 9 more holes to come.
@mattfrank16
The other reviews are correct, the rough is very rough. Thick woods with a ton of thorns. If your throw is off (like one of mine) you’ll be stomping through the brush or like me, trying to find a way to climb down into the creek. Overall, the park is scenic (as a park itself, fantastic). I came mid day on a Saturday, lots of people kayaking and floating down the river as well as people biking around the paved trail.. Watch for pedestrians. There were no parking spaces left, had to park at the hoss’s across the street.
@loberhess
Fun shots to throw but the rough is bad and watch out for other park users
@andee02
Very nice park. This course was exactly what I wanted this evening. Simple, short, and fun. I was +2 on my first trip so not an especially tough course. A couple holes were tough in that there was not a lot of room for error. I lost a warm up disc as the jungle swallowed it. The brush was so thick even I gave up easily from searching to much. Too thick and thorny. So beware of that. The pain is real. Tees are solid. Signage direction is virtually nonexistent but frankly not needed. It seems like there is potential for a lot of traffic of dog walkers and hikers as the path winds around and through the course. Solid place to go if you are in the vicinity. I wouldn’t make a special trip back however.
@mkertland
Not awful for a quick 30 minute round if you just need to play. Expect simple, unimaginative shot shapes and nothing over a 5 speed. Walking path can be busy and there is some water danger close to two holes but it is very avoidable if you pay safe. It's not terrible, it's just not really worth any amount of drive.
@patrickrb
Very nice in the fall with leaves down but stay on the fairway during summer
@mangass
Got to get my feet wet in the river and cool off a little so I'm not mad.
@sloppydawg51
Beware of hornets
@nugitmaster
Decent 9 hole course except for the bees - probs not an issue during the winter tho
@jgeiman
Meh. This course is relatively lackluster. It’s boring. Maybe it’s because I played it after playing Shank Park (which is where you should be playing if you are looking at this course).
@shubacca47pa
Tough on the beginner and those who lack in fore hand throw skill. Lots of water hazard through first 5 holes and then swampy holes 6-9. You lose a disc in the trees and you're asking to get abused by thorns.
@wademspooner
Be prepared to bleed off the fairways.
@saximan7
You need to be a intermediate thrower for this course. Narrow fairways and hazards make this course easy to lose discs either in the creek that runs along the course or the unkempt brush.
