I think this course is underrated. You definitely have to play smart golf and if you miss the fairway just eat the stroke and pitch out of the rough. But there are a lot of short par 4s so it really shouldn’t be too tough to stay under par. It seems this course is designed to be frustrating, right up until hole 18 where roll aways probably happen very often. Great course design, would love to see a little bit of tree trimming though just to open up some lines that would still be plenty tight enough after some clean up. I take it all back after playing a second round and loosing two discs. Not worth it.
@jmarxmiller
Good layout. Cleaning up some of the low hanging branches would be nice. Teepads are also a little short as well.
@joulethief
Before playing I read a lot of the reviews mentioning poor upkeep making it unplayable. True that upkeep sucks but I would argue still totally playable. Definitely not for beginners (unless you’re lucky)
@gregdiemler
This course has been neglected past the point of enjoying it. First few holes you think, not bad. Then you hit hole 5 and it's all downhill from there. No pruning, no upkeep in the rough, blind shots and overly tight fairways have you throwing in the thicket only to take you 30min and not find your disc. Mowing the fairways is not enough. Locals, spend the time to upkeep it or shut it down. Sad, because it was a beautiful course at one time.
@evanphillippi
Whoever installed this course did a disservice to the baskets. What they call fairways look as if they were abandoned decades ago. The flight of a disc was not considered in the slightest when some of the pins and tees were placed. Please do the right thing and take these baskets and design a real course for them.
@hiimcolebear
Can someone from the city actually make our courses playable in the summer? So unbelievably overgrown.
@zachshultz13
This quarry is the only place in Ohio where you can get a taste of the desert golf found in the Southwestern US. The tees are decent as are the Prodigy targets.
@finalcut
Par on most of the 4s is generous. The par 5 should be a 4. Still fun course with some elevation changes. I made sure to walk the holes before throwing blind. Especially the par 5
@sleepyt
A lot of tall grass. A lot of ways to lose your discs. A few of the holes I didn't play simply because this course expects you to throw blind and hope for the best. This course needs a lot done to it for anyone to have a fun time playing it. Really nice views though.
@ljazz7
The course needs some love. Could be great if the trees were trimmed back and the pads were a few feet longer.
@cthediesel22
Great layout in winter. Just needs TLC when it’s warm bc fun play.
@hyde244
Rough is just out of control this summer, making some holes impossible on sight line and too easy to lose discs on shots. Planning to come back out later in the fall as plants die off.
@setherswj
Left a Orange Discraft Crush on Hole 2 yesterday... if found please reach out I’ll pay you handsomely.
@tgrady18
Pretty tough course. Water very much in play on 3 & 4. Well maintained. Short tee boxes. Very fun course. Wear good shoes, rough terrain.
@kiwidg
Heavy use of elevation changes in an arid quarry-like area. Very fun track.
@bburwinkel
A solid course with a great range of different shots. However, they really need to take some time and groom the fairways better. There are so many holes in which the trees have grown over so much that there really isn’t much of a line left.
@dibsayone
Great course! Holes range from ace run to extremely difficult. The course really makes you throw shots that you wouldn’t normally throw. Great course to improve your all around game
